Go Shockers - Foster Named All-Region

WICHITA, Kan. -- Sophomore middle blocker Natalie Foster was named to the AVCA All-Region North on Tuesday.

Foster was already tabbed to the CSC Academic All-District Team and the American Athletic Conference First Team, capping off an excellent 2022 season spearheading the Shocker attack. She ranked second on the club with 3.69 points per set and 3.01 kills per set, checking in 31st nationally with a hitting percentage of .382.

Foster ranked second among AAC middles in kills per set and had 21 matches with 10 or more kills, highlighted by a stretch of 14 in a row from October 7 to November 20. The 6'4 middle delivered some of the most impressive individual performances of the season for the Shockers; on October 12 against Tulsa she fired a career-best 21 kills to spark a five-set comeback victory against the Golden Hurricane and on November 13 vs. Houston Foster hit .684 with 14 kills against one of the nation's best defensive units, the best hitting percentage by a Shocker in any match this season (min. 10 kills).
