Yes indeed, the Iowa game here was loud. The last Iowa game was one that personified Mr. Stutz's skills. One last thought is that it has been said that WSU has an impressive overall winning record versus Big Ten teams from times past. Can anybody find out somehow just what that winning record is?Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Hall
The notion that WSU "had to" go with Hall as if were an act of desperation is just foolish. Sometimes there are no high schoolers at whom a school has a shot who are as good, or as ready to make a major contribution, as an available juco player is. In such a case, signing a HS kid just for the sake of doing it is nothing but stubborn devotion to a principle (i.e., HS over juco) to which any sensible fan should be glad WSU's staff is not wedded.
Of course it's better to have an outstanding player for four years rather than two. But if you don't have a shot at such a player, isn't it better to have an outstanding player for two years rather than zero? If Hall is as good as advertised -- a 12 and 6 guy in Marshall's balanced system, for example -- we'll all be glad to have him for two years. Well, all of us except for SB, who will thereupon be mad (because he has to be mad about something, after all) we lost the recruiting battle for Hall out of high school and thus only had him for two years. Oh, well.

I don't know, losing a 6-10 kid to Iowa that averaged 10/8 doesn't sound like a loss to me.
Never saw him play, but with his size, playing at that level in high school, I would expect more dominating numbers. Let's move on!!!

The coach at Sunrise said something to the effect of Gabe arriving on campus with a list of colleges in hand that had been recruiting him for a while. Interesting to read this, which is completely contradictory:
"Olaseni grew up in London but has spent the past year in the United States attending Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kan., where his skills as a shot blocker and defender quickly caught the attention of Iowa coaches who first saw him while watching another recruit, 6-8 Eric Katenda.
"We went out there to watch Katenda play, but we fell in love with Olaseni right away," McCaffery said Tuesday before speaking at a Boone County I-Club outing."
Somthing about that Sunrise coach rubs me the wrong way.

My apologies to anyone here who has ties to Sunrise or the coach, but over the past week he has said things that contradict other things he's said and you have to wonder why.
I know it's possible that it may just be due to how his quotes have been portrayed. But the overall impression I got was "why would WSU fans even think they had a chance of landing Olaseni when the schools recruiting him have been doing so since before he arrived here." And that's clearly not the case.
I'll be skeptical of his remarks in the future.

Im just saying we all want Perry Ellis to come to WSU and he authenticate those feelings because "it doesnt matter whether he comes here or KU if hes good enough to go into the NBA then he'll go"
But arent you contradicting that?
