According to tweets from Sunrise Christian's coach some of the schools that have been in recently include WSU, KU, KSU, Clemson, Utah State, Notre Dame, Missouri State, Marquette, Iowa, Georgetown, Memphis, Wake Forest, WKU, Iowa State and Colorado.

They have three players with high major offers. I believe we know about only two of them.

That video is something else. In comparison, many high school programs in the U.S. Build palaces to basketball.

Maybe we should give Lawrence Fejokwu his own thread.

He's another Nigerian that's played with the Ebun Comets.

A couple of those trucks appeared to be in bounds.

Also, I wonder how much they get for the seats across the way on top of that flat?

Can anyone confirm that Olesani is at Sunrise? This blog, dated Sept. 10, has him at a similar Christian academy in South Carolina. This actually makes more sense because he played all summer in the south and all the schools recruiting him are also in that area. Just curious.

I am John Jordan and I am the head coach at Adelphi Christian Academy in Aiken, SC. We have a strong varsity boys and girls team. We have had some good transfers from the GA/SC area and been fortunate to have some very talented foreign players enroll. We are a high school, no post grads or 5th year guys. We will play anybody though. Our schedule already includes the likes of Oak Hill, Mt Zion, Covenant Christian, United Faith and several more. Here is our roster below. If you would be interested in playing us, please contact me. We are also still looking for an after Christmas tournament. jjordan@adelphichristian.com or by cell 704-253-2006

Who cares, so far only one of these Sunrise guys (not talking walk-ons) have gone to WSU. He was a WSU recruit before he made it to Sunrise. Nothing in recent history tells me any of these players would go to WSU if given an opportunity at an BCS program.

With that logic we probably shouldn't bother recruiting 90% of the high schools in the US.

I'm not talking about WSU recruiting players. I'm talking about the assumption that Sunrise players are automatically interested in WSU.

Heck it's hard enough to get city league players, let alone somebody who grew up on the other side of the planet and just happens to prep here.

WSU should recruit, just saying it doesn't seem as though there is a lot of mutual interest from the foreigners at sunrise. Or should I say I don't think it matters to them that WSU happens to be in the same city as where they are prepping.

My questions was only in regards to whether or not he was at Sunrise, as stated in the opening of the thread. It has been reported that there is some mutual interest, but I would think that it is better for WSU if he was actually IN Wichita.

We were a finalist for the last big foreign guy we recruited from there. Being in the same city and surrounded by Shocker fans doesn't hurt our cause with any of these kids. We shouldn't not recruit them.

                                Yes, WSU should.

Other than getting on one's list the close proximity has yet to produce. Sure it helps but doesn't seem to actually put anybody over the edge. My only point was doesn't seem to matter if he preps in SC or Kansas. Or at least so far.
