Yes, complete midless rhetoric. Is that why WSU is showing a lot of recruiting interest in small forwards for the 2011 class when we have had fille dour 4 scholarships? Completely mindless...no thought into it at all.

It is mindless considered the kid redshirted last year. has only played in 3 games for an average of 3.3 minutes.

Obviously there is a side we dont see (practice) But the guy has Toure, Graham, Ben & David in front of him.

He doesnt have size and athletic ability to be a small forward so you just cut him?

Have you noticed all of our guards are the exact same size? (Yes I include the 3 spot and yes I am excluding Joe Ragland) Hell even the walk on who gets NO PT except for blow outs is 6'5 180

They continue to recruit every position just in case. Should we worry about Demetric leaving because PGs have been mentioned too? Try not to read too much into it. If something happens, it happens. Right now, they're just playing it safe.

It should be remembered that our offer to Richardson was before our lastest commitment that took the last open scholarship.

When in Maui I introduced myself to Coach Jans as Tropicalshox since we had twitter conversations in the past. He said we are of course done with recruiting, and after a short pause added, of course recruiting is never done. It certainly didn't lead me to believe they are definitely looking for somebody else.

Richardson will probably be one of the best prospects available in the Spring that we have contact with. It would be silly to not keep contact. You never know who may decide not to come back. As for determining if anybody might not get their scholarship renewed, it probably hasn't even been thought about much by the staff this early. As Sub said, don't read to much into it.

Trade a Richardson for a Richardson maybe?
                Why? That just seems dumb..
Because some believe if you don't play a lot as a FR you must be worthless and should be removed from the team... T-Rich will be a fine player for the Shox. Maybe just a role player but there's nothing wrong with that. You can't have a team full of superstars.
Fine player is ok, but we need more. He does not have the size or athletic ability to be a 3. He can fill in as a back up but we need a three that is ready to play immediatly when Smith leaves.
When the kid got to WSU he was 17 and didn't turn 18 until October! He red shirted and there hasn't been much room for a redshirt freshman to play this year. None of us have any sort of clue what kind of player he can be. He just recently turned 19 so his body is easily not fully grown yet. We have no clue at all if he will be a role player or super star. I'll take either one though, because you need both.

We do know that it has been reported that Tyler was a very good 3 point shooter maker in high school.

                    Good post, RH.

Josh Richardson had to spend time on the bench due to fouls but still led his team to a victory over top ranked Edmond Memorial. He scored 21 points.

The last few weeks Richardson has been very tight lipped about his recruiting.

Richardson to visit Missouri State this weekend, followed by a trip to TCU. A visit to Providence is also in the works. He hasn't closed out his recruiting but his focus is on those three.

We appear to be back in the running for this top 125 to 300 recruit. Georgia Tech's offer and a visit there put them in the mix. "Missouri State, Providence, TCU and Wichita State are also in the mix." He might not announced until signing time.

This might be the start of getting a clearer picture of where we stand with 2011 recruits. It might not be coincidence that Marshall publicly said we are recruiting for two possible 2011 positions and Richardson publicly adding us to his mix. The green light to talk about WSU might have been given.
