  • Mitchell Watt-Verbals to Buffalo

A 6-9, SF from Goodyear, AZ (Desert Edge). Although slender, a good rebounder, shot blocker, finishes at the rim and can shoot from the outside. Was the leader on his very strong HS team last year. Arizona Preps ranks him #9 in the State. A 3.8 GPA. Schools mentioned in the current article are WSU, Cornell, Cal St-Fullerton, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, Columbia, Princeton, American Univeristy, Texas-San Antonio, and Samford.

A story last winter said that schools such as Stanford, Oregon State, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Texas Tech and UCLA have him on their radar.

    Class of '08.

Just a hunch that he isn't in prep school for academic reasons. :D

          no other info.
it might be really old too.
the only reason i know that this thread is about the same guy is because he's from Goodyear, AZ.

This Cornell blog says that WSU, along with many others have offered. It also believes that Watts will attend Cornell if he is accepted for admissions. He has a 3.8 gpa and scored 1400 or more on the SAT. He has no other visits scheduled.

He should have NO problem getting into Cornell with his GPA and SAT scores.

WSU is definitely not in the picture for Watt. He has de-committed from Cornell due to receiving full ride offers from other schools. His school list is now Buffalo, Pepperdine, Rutgers and Davidson and has closed his recruiting.

If it was between Pepperdine (right on the beach), Davidson (Elite Eight), and Buffalo, how many of you would ever choose Buffalo?
