I would also add Butler to that list

Even though Marshall seems to like Butler? And Butler is the type of athlete Marshall has used in the past? I'd be surprised if Mekel was gone after this year. Maybe after his JR year. Time will tell. It'll be interesting to see how Durley does this year. He's very capable of playing but it'll depend how he Marshall fit in the long run. I know Hatch doesn't quite fit a certain mold of player that we all picture, but I'd be surprised personally if he doesn't graduate from WSU. These are just my feelings on things and are open to change. But as of now this my mind set.

I think what CGM sees in Butler is his athletic ability, his long arms and legs, and his ability to jump, which in transition baskets can be very valuable.
I only see Butler putting balls up from 3' and closer, but he could contribute quite a bit in that inner circle.

Durley, from all that has been said, seems to be on the lazy side, and I don't think that goes over with CGM.

Hatch might just surprise everyone. I think many of you are assuming he won't be that good, but he did have good numbers at Mesa, 14.6 ppg.

Snapshot, sorry but 15 point a game from a guy who shoots threes aren't good numbers at all.

Subgod, my thought about Mekel consider whether he would like to be on the bench again next year. Hannah and Hawkins aren't coming to sit bench.

Actually Calfan, Hatch didn't shoot that many 3's in High School, but needs to up his 3 percentage, and also same for Hawkins, most of AJ's points were 2's.

But on Hannah, yes, he can shoot the 3, as some of his 30 something games showed last year.

            And don't forget Murry either.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hannah come of the bench next year.

As of now, which doesn't mean much, I'd expect to see a starting lineup of:

              Mekel
              Hawk
              Gris
              Clemente
              Orukpe

On paper that sounds like one heck of a starting 5!

Snapshot, you're right abuut Murry. Starting next year hardly any player can be taken for granted for a starting spot. I like that change.

The reserves for that starting 5 are:

                    Hannah/Preadom
                    Hatch/Murray
                    Ellis
                    Butler/Durley
                    ?

                    Also, not looking bad!

                      I do you one better:

                      Mekel/Hannah/Preadom
                      Hawk/Hatch/Murry (redshirt candidate)
                      Gris/Ellis
                      Clemente/Butler/Davis
                      Orukpe/Durley/Stutz

Might as well go all the way!!! ... LOL

So Snapshot9, you don't think Kyles will show up.

I can't see that Murry will redshirt. One of the reasons he stated that he signed with us is that the coaching staff told him that he could compete for minutes immediately. In addition, they consider him a combo guard, so he needs to be listed on the depth chart at both the 1 and 2.

Kyles has already failed to show for a couple of expected visits, yes? That can't leave one too optomistic. If Murrey cannot compete immediately with Preadom and a juco kid, we oughta throw him back. Com'on.......

I think it was said that Kyles was, indeed, here with Stutz last weekend.

                              Can anyone confirm?

Well, we will already have 6 guards on board, How many do you think will get playing time? A 7th coming in doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, and so far, there aren't any real positive signs from Kyles? so I am not very hopeful there. If he came onboard, I would say Hawkins would be playing the 3 some.

What about the 4/5's we need for pete's sake? We only have 1 available scollie currently available? I would rather have Stutz and Davis before Kyles, but at this point, we don't know if everyone here now will be here next year or not either.

And sub, I really can't see Ellis at SG at 6'9", he's too tall and the defensive guards would probably be too fast for him.
