  • Jeremy Williams 6-7 F leaving Colorado also

    From Rivals--

Jeremy Williams, the talented forward who was expected to make a big impact next season when he returned to eligibility, won't be back in a Colorado uniform. BSN has learned Williams asked for a release from his scholarship on Wednesday and was granted the release.

Though Jeremy Williams did not return phone calls regarding his situation Thursday evening, two sources close to the situation confirmed Williams is no longer a Buffalo.

The 6-foot-7 player started 18 games in 2006-07 as a true freshman out of Memphis, Tenn. Williams averaged 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds a game that year. Williams redshirted this past season after being declared academically ineligible in the fall semester.

He is now the seventh player recruited to Colorado by former coach Ricardo Patton who is no longer with the Buffaloes team under Jeff Bzdelik, who took over the CU program 12 months ago. "

Don't know that we care, but he was expected to contribute.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Since he sat out this year, would he be able to play next season? Or would he have to sit another year (as a transfer) and lose a year of eligibility?

If only he were a couple inches taller and could play center. I don't see a good fit here. He would bascially have to battle Ellis for PT over the next 3 years.

A poster on NetBuffs is saying Williams will end up at a juco near Memphis.

JUCO would be the best way for him to go. Otherwise he'd lose a year while sitting out.
