Just curious. Who pays for the players to attend such an event? Does it come out of their pocket?

          • Shocker staff just needs to explain to Tyler (or any other top point guard) that they developed two point guards that play in the NBA and came out in the same year (Ron & Fred). They did it the hard way without being drafted and earning it. Not taking anything away from Ragland, Murray, Armstead, or Hannah. All of them were excellent players. Oh, I kind of like a few of the players that are already playing this coming season.

            • Baker has taken "Play Angry" to the NBA. Opposing teams are going to have to game plan for the way he plays D. Baker can disrupt perimeter play to the point that a 24-second clock becomes a significant obstacle.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Great take...and so right! The word "savvy" comes to mind. Those two are "team basketball players". Too bad they aren't on the same team (yet). Some GM will figure that out someday and win an NBA Championship or two or 3 with those guys!!!

There is a second tweet that also adds there are more offers, including Wichita State. Also, those tweets are from June 19. https://twitter.com/jakeweingarten/s...96770433306628

Anyone have a 247 membership? Or want to take one for the team and sign up for a free week on 247? I've already used up my free week...

                          • Count me as a skeptic we sign this kid. He's been very vocal about his treatment from Iowa St and connection with the coaches and staff there. Time to tamp down expectations to ease the disappointment when he announces he's going to Ames. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than dejected...

Until and unless he visits, there is no reason to be optimistic.
