His tweet about the visit is probably what would be expected of a young man whose talents are in demand. Why burn any bridges? I'm hopeful he'll visit the Wichita State campus and get a chance to see what all the frenzy is about before he makes his decision.

    • Hasn't he taken both an official and an unofficial to Iowa State?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

No. One of his twitter messages dated July 2, said "my first visit to Ames went great".

        • Honestly think ISU has him in the bag already, would love to have him but realistically doesn't seem to be headed that way

            You give up too soon.

He said that he will sign in the fall. He may not wait, but if he was in the bag, he would have committed when or soon after he visited. If this goes a couple of weeks, he is still in play.

ISU did sign a 5* PG that is going to be a Freshman this year. This kid is insurance just in case he goes to the NBA after a couple of years.

A big factor when/if he visits Wichita State may be if he thinks that Landry will go to the NBA after this year.

I doubt if he's even thinking about that situation.

I would think that would be first on his list.

I agree. But I will also say there is a chance he thinks he's better than the 5* they have coming in this year and believes he can 1) take over when the kid goes to the Bigs after his freshman year, or, 2) can beat out the 5* in 2018.

Regardless, I think there's still an opportunity for us. He's stated his intent to visit so let's wait and see how that goes.

I don't think that anyone has given him a one and done recruiting evaluation. Lindell Wigginton is a Rivals 5* (#22 or 23 rating), Scout 4* (#32), 24/7 4* (#32), and ESPN 4* (#37). So officially, only Rivals considers him a possible McDonalds All American, but he is borderline McDonalds All American for all sites (he could be chosen for that game). Wigginton is a 6'1 point guard, so he isn't a combo guard and at 5'8, neither is Tyler Harris considered a combo guard. Further rating comparisons place Tyler as a 4* at the #87-#115, depending on who you listen to. It is very likely that Wigginton will play 3-4 at years at Iowa State, depending on how he develops. Playing time in the next few years would be limited at best and it could go very badly for Tyler if he is mindful of this. At WSU, because of the talent that Landry has already exhibited at point guard, his 6'4" length, etc., Landry will be a NBA prospect after this year or after next for sure.

I just saw that too. Agree, doesn't even sound like he intends to make any other visits other than to head back to Ames. That crystal ball prediction to Iowa State is looking pretty solid. I'm sure 3G has someone in mind.

He'll come up with a player every bit as good as this kid I'm confident.
