Dimon Carrigan 6'9 PF/C 2019 JUCO to FIU

It's being reported that WSU is recruiting 6'9 PF/C Dimon Carrigan from Boston, Massachusetts. Dimon's recruitment blew up last weekend at the Nike EYBL and he was named the best defensive player of the session while averaging 4 blocks a game. He's received offers from both Houston and Towson within the last two days. His recruitment is still very quiet and there isn't much on this kid out there yet but look for things to heat up over the next several weeks.

Right now, Houston and Miami are the two schools that Carrigan feels are recruiting him the hardest but he is also taking notice of Tech. “I have noticed an increase in mail that I get from them and the coaches are talking to me about coming to Georgia Tech.” If Carrigan were to name a top five right now, the schools would be Georgia Tech, Washington, Miami, Houston, and Wichita State.

Dimon plans to take a look at his offer list and then cut the list down to a manageable group of schools. He plans to announce that list in July. In the meantime, Dimon has started to look at which schools he’ll visit. “I am going to try and visit Wichita State and Creighton before going back to school.” Dimon plans to start taking his official visits in September. “I already have one to Houston set and that is on September 23rd.” Dimon also plans to take official visits to Georgia Tech, Miami, and Washington.

A November 24th announcement of his college choice has been planned by Dimon. “The reason for that is that my family and all my best friends will be here and I want to announce it with them around as they mean a lot to me and have given me a lot of encouragement over the years. I will sign the LOI in April.” Dimon plans to wait until April to see if there are any coaching changes at his college choice.

This doesn't speak for the age of either of us, 1972, because I recognize your remake of the theme song from the early Sixties TV show Harrigan, which I watched when I was a kid. By the way, haven't you ever heard the term "black Irish"?

I remember that Patrick Ewing was a Rindge and Latin guy, so that school has some history. Too bad he doesn't want to do his prep year, at least based on PaulS's article, at Sunrise. That would be exceptionally convenient.
