  • Jahari Long 6'3 G 2020 to Seton Hall

Well the time has come. Our first 2020 recruit has arrived. Paul S reported that Jahari Long took an unofficial to the game yesterday alongside PJ Cousinard. PJ is coaching the Cooz Elite AAU team in Houston these days.

Not much on this kid yet. He's averaging 7 points and 3 assists per game for his HS team as a freshman. Jahari participated in the CP3 Rising Stars camp and the Pangos All-South camp last summer so it would appear he has potential to be a top 100 player in his class.

Here are some highlights from the summer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKlv3WPLNd4

This article ranks him as the #10 in the state for 2020: http://lonestarprepspotlight.com/playerrankings.html

First 2020 offer is on the table. Jahari plays for PJ Couisnard's AAU team.

Cooz Elite won a 15U tournament in Houston this past weekend. It'll be interesting to see what they can do in the next two years without a shoe sponsorship. Jahari is #11 - kid looks pretty good for the 15U level. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pt_2Oz0rp8&app=desktop

Debuted for Rivals at #124 this month. WSU will certainly be in the running for Jahari.

It's intriguing to me that Minnesota is also interested. Hmmmm, wonder how they heard of him!

Gonna be tough to add a guard next year

Completely agree with pinstripers and can't help but think this is another recruiting fail by Linstead. So happy we have the assistants we have now.

Perhaps we have made a course-correction on where we're aiming, but we seem to be landing a lot more Option A's the past 14 months.

Unfortunately, at least 1 of the guards will be gone by next offseason. Someone’s not going to be happy with being the 5th or 6th guard and decide to leave.
