Second Video clip 3 he steps into a defender instead of an easy drop step layup (a la Isaac Haas). Second Video clip 4 he gets denied post position with two feet in the lane with a 'mouse in the house'. That's alright though. Wish we could have done better with our open roster spot.

I do know that there is a reason that coaches watch players both live and on video to evaluate their talents. Our coaches put him through a controlled workout when he visited to watch his footwork and how he adjusted to their instruction. Just as Nurger and Shaq have improved their foot work during their time at WSU, AM also can improve his. Every once in a while, our coaches miss-evaluate but I like their success rate.

Went back to observe the two highlight tapes on page one. It appears that he catches the ball very well (soft hands) and rolls very well to the basket on pick & roll plays. Those are great positives. What I was most excited about was his body control & body awareness near the basket. He turns to give himself space without charging a lot. He also has a good awareness of where the basket is even though several shots were missed. Coordination & body control are very good and he will be more developed after another season of play.. Have a lot to look forward to when this young man reaches his potential. His passing vision was also developed for the short time of playing the sport. Do any of the faithful shockernet followers agree with me?
This is what I observed on the video back in November. I can not understand why so many of you want to write off people without letting them compete and beat someone out for a position. Here on shockernet, many feel the returning player gets the nod without hesitation. They are all shockers now and I feel this is a good prospect and I hope he is an outstanding prospect. He was highly recommended by a contact oversees, he obviously impressed Paul Sullentrop with his physique, then his film showed some promise in my opinion. He jumps fairly quickly and dunks the ball on the film I watched, soft hands are always a plus, and he set some high screens and rolled to the basket well. Orupke, had a role like that once on our team. Have not watched enough to really know how confident I am in this sample, but trust that this staff has had a high percentage of success with recruiting quality prospects (very few poor signings).

His hands were not soft. He did catch Baker's pass when he rolled to the basket against Louisville in the F4 but when fouled, he missed the free throws. :) I don't mind him being similar to EO except I hope he makes more free throws than 40-50%.Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.
