  • Kennedy just talked about this kid on the pregame, and I just caught only the tail end of it. Anybody listening?

That was my thinking as well. Kid must have loved his visit.

No, no, no. Not Jake Odom. How many of you remember Carl Papke?

The schools named above came to see him.

Reminded me of Grayson Allen, currently at Duke.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.

Multiple answers and comparisons are possible. I hope once Austin finishes his career at WSU that we are saying that an outstanding recruit reminds us of Austin.

                • From the Eagle article:

Reaves, with a friend, watched WSU’s game against Indiana State on Sunday and that experience sold him.

“We got to walk about behind the players (for introductions) and when you walked out you could just feel the atmosphere,” he said. “I knew as soon as we got there and saw the atmosphere that it was going to be a good fit.”

I wonder if some on here will let the terrible crowd that night take any credit for the atmosphere? Sometimes we need to remember a "not so good" WSU crowd is a great crowd at many, if not most, other college venues.

The statistics might scream that Austin Reaves is a small-town shooter.

That is not a complete description of Reaves’ game, his coaches say. At heart, he is a point guard, one who started as a freshman and sophomore on Arkansas Class 2A championship teams.

He’s a pure point guard,” Cedar Ridge High coach Isaac Middlebrooks said. “Scoring is not the thing he really likes to do. He has to do it for us.

                      Is he related to Karl?

Exactly. The knifing moves with the little pull-up in the lane.
