We just got a verbal from this guy. I know he played as a frosh at IU, but I heard he was orginally from the greater Topeka area. Anybody see him play ?

With so many Topeka players going to other Valley schools, we get a lot of similar requests here. So I direct them there.

Ty Modupe (ISU red)
And now Xavier Keeling (CU)

When was the last time we had a Topeka player at WSU? Is it any coincidence that Topeka is almost spitting distance from KU and KSU?

This is a nice pick up for CU. A front line of Lawson, Walker and Keeling will be pleasing to the CU faithful. They will be a handful for opponents. 8)

As much as I hate to admit it...the Valley appears to be reloading. Watch out BCS schools, the next three years ought to be very productive for the Valley come tournament time.

Ya, I noticed that too. Apparently he's originally from Topeka, but later moved to Huntsville (and played HS hoops there). I was mistaken - sorry...

I heard that coach Marshall was up in Salina watching Hayden play in the state tourney. I really wouldn't be surprised if one of his assistants wasn't in Topeka watching another Topeka team in the tourney.

Seeing as how we are the only other Valley team in Kansas, and the recruit is originally from Topeka, what's the problem?

DJA has been a good guest here. And if we had a recruit from Lincoln I would hope we could get some info from Creighton fans on their board.
