CF is doing exactly what coach needs him to do. No turnovers, play defense, and give the AA's rest. CF seems to be capable of getting open and free anytime he want's. He is gong to be 12+ a game while running the point...

    • At halftime, Willis has 16 pts and 9 rebounds (4 off). 4-5 FG 8-8 FT 5(!) TO

Pearl River trails by 1 39-38.

      • PRCC loses. Willis finishes with 29 pts (8-9 FG 13-13 FT), 15 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists, and 9 turnovers. To be fair to him, a couple of the turnovers I saw were his guards fault for tossing him the ball in a position to be immediately triple teamed.

Ouch. Guy was averaging less than 2 TO per game coming in. Bad way to go out. Still alive for the Region Tournament, though.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Being triple teamed isn't a problem he'll have at WSU -- way too many weapons here for that, even after LeFred and Ron leave. I'm just glad to see the couple of assists, because getting it back out to one of those weapons for an open shot will be a very useful skill once he arrives.

            • 29 points on 9 FG attempts. No 3s....that's efficient.

              • What was amazing was HCGM knew what his stats were before he started his show last night and he called him "Darryl" so I guess that answers what he goes by.

                • I'm not sure Hall or Carter put up these type of numbers in JUCO. This guy is going to make an impact here.

                    Yea, 18 ppg, 10.1 rpg, .593 FG%, .725 FT%, and 1.3 bpg is pretty salty.

He has slowly been creeping up the JUCO recruiting rankings as the season has gone on. He is up to #9 in c/o 2016 here - IIRC he was at #16 when he committed to us.

Different site, but here are some rankings of past Shocker signees within their JUCO class:

                    2014 - Bush Wamukota - #45
                    2014 - Tevin Glass - #64
                    2013 - Darius Carter - #8
                    2013 - Earl Watson - #36
                    2012 - Cleanthony Early - #2
                    2012 - Nick Wiggins - #9
                    2012 - C.J. Lufile - #48
                    2011 - Carl Hall - #13

This season Daishon Smith is currently slotted at #21 in the same rankings that have Willis at #9. This is definitely one of our best JUCO classes.

EDIT: the stats I listed above apparently do not include Willis' 3 most recent games. His actual stats are actually even better than those already stellar numbers.

FWIW, Corey Henderson is 23rd on the list.

I know it didn't work out for him (mainly from his own doing), but I hope he figures it out and is successful at Tulsa.

Kind of gives you an idea of where our program is right now, doesn't it?

                          • So we'll have 7 juniors on scholarship next season?

Shaq, Zach, Rashard, Conner, Willis, Smith and Nurger.

                            No seniors.

                            Mac, Hamilton and TT sophomores.

                            Landry a freshman.

Two years could be a heck of a rebuild.

Forgot Peyton Allen (soph), CJ Keyser (frosh), and Austin Reaves whatever class he lands in. Unless you meant to leave them off.
