If I had to guess, I would say that it is a backup plan in case we can't get a high school PG. We already saw what the lack of PG depth did to us this year and I assume the coaches would be willing to take any solution to keep that from happening again.

I think the reason HCGM is going after so many Juco players is because the high school class is not real strong this year. So why waste a 4 year ride when you can get someone better and then in 2 years get someone who will be even better.
