At some point I'd sure like to hear from you what impact the Shockers run in the Dance is having on recruiting.

The program isn't quite to that level yet, although Marshall has us very close.

We'll have a better idea of the impact of this run this summer and next year/summer. 3G and company will get in a few more doors.

The timing of our S16 (so far) run, has come at a very crucial time, IMO. Not only can it help recruiting in general, but with CU leaving the conference and the potential for the Valley not being as strong, those things are not as important now. A very skilled student athlete knows he's being recruited by a quality program that not only can get him to the Dance, but make a run in it. On HCGM's side of the ledger, adding that type of recruit makes getting to the Dance easier, from winning Valley titles to winning conference tourneys to winning more quality non-con games. All things that counter the concern that the Valley may be a 1, and only sometimes 2, bid conference. Now, WSU's competition for a recruit won't be able to use that against us any more than they can use it against Gonzaga.

Just think if CU was the one making the run and if WSU had been one and done (or not made the Dance at all). From media to recruiting coaches, the image of the Valley minus CU would have been on the forefront. Now, WSU is on the forefront with young, quality players like FVV and Baker.

            Go Shox!!!
