Not a surprise. I was expecting Walton to move on regardless of whether Isaac Brown was or wasn't retained. And good luck finding players with loyalty to anything other than themselves. I'm sure Walton had a lot of interest and was able to wrangle an attractive pay to play deal. They call it NIL, but everyone knows what it really is.

I don't buy this attitude that every player is out there just for themselves, and it is imposable to find high character kids with loyalty. Lots of programs have them. Mills had them at ORU, Houston has them, Gonzaga has them, just to mention a few.

Why all the "love"?

No hate from me and I would guess most people on here. Most of us are more invested in the Shockers than JW.

I would think that the X Man, AC, and even lower profile former Shockers like Garrett Stutz,Paul Miller, PJ Cousinard, or 2 year Juco transfers like Ramon Clemente feel a lot more investment than just a one year player. The Eagle Editorial Writer, Dion Lefler referring to Jaykwon as a mercenary is a good description.

I doubt he has another thought for Wichita, and JW leaving is fine with me too.

Whose hating? I personally couldn't care less. While I would have preferred some loyalty and him stick around, once he showed no interest in being at WSU, Id prefer him to be gone. If they don't want to be here their impact on the team can only be negative, regardless of stats.
Unlike some on here, I hope he has a terrible season away from WSU. I'd rather see those who transfer out fail, so I can have a laugh.
