His blocks are also underwhelming with one block every 3 games.

He may may be a really good one on one defender who doesn’t have high hops, and doesn’t block shots, but is a low volume shooter. As I said, I haven’t seen him play and this is an analysis of his stat sheet only, but a little underwhelming with the information I have, imo.

i would guess we aren’t done yet.
He also only played 23 mins per game. Wade (who this guy is replacing I would assume) played about the same.

    Wade - 6.7 pts 5.6 rebs 1.5 assists 0.5 steals 0.7 blks 0.8 to's 40% FG 55.2% FT 31.1% 3pt

    Pleasant - 10.5pts 5.5 rebs 1.2 assists 0.7 steals 0.3 blks 1.4 to's 45.9% FG 59.6% FT 46.5% 3pt

So basically a better shooting Trey Wade who does turn it over more..

Although we have to take in account Wade faced tougher competition than Pleasant did on a consistent basis.

All-in-all Pleasant doesn't have to be the man. He has a role and I think he can fit into it. Like any new player though...time will tell.

I am pleased as he gives us another option at the 4. And he Is experienced which you can't teach.

Yes, I agree that he seems to be almost a clone to Trey Wade. I was hopeful that we could get more of a rim protector than Wade but Wade was a decent player and consistent rebounder. We have recruited one player who has some rim protection skills. I’m still hopeful for one more rim protector/shot blocker.

Biggest difference is he is a better 3pt shooter.

I didn’t realize his dad played in the NFL for 12 seasons.

          That’s some good genes.

Seems we are going to have many players who expect to see the floor. I count 9 already. And yes I know every player expects to see the floor, but the expectations are going to be a little different from these D1/D2 transfers as compared to high schoolers.

I remember when the Shox easily went 10 deep. It was kind of a thing. You had 5 subs at a time. Teams hated it because there was always a fresh defender in your ****.

I would love to have the depth to pressure/press teams more and maintain fresh legs.

                  I've noticed that too.

I REALLY like this kid. Great job by HCIB and staff. athletic with a big body and can stretch the floor and shoot the 3. Has experience as well. This one I like.

I just watched that .. One thing he's going to have to work on is his defense. I don't know if it was their scheme but he got beat off the dribble a lot

Agree. I think he has got to improve his quickness and lateral movement on defense. And of course shoot a better percentage from the free throw line even though he hit the ones to beat Texas.

Shocker players better understand that if you are not knocking down free throws next year your time will be limited. Go shocks.

50% free throws are okay if they are - and ones
