'15 is the toughest recruiting year since Marshall has been here. Only 2 Sr's on the roster, which is low for a Marshall team. Figure on one trfr and there's probably a max of 3 schollies available for '15 recruits.

I'd love to see both the younger Carr and the younger McDaniel here, but with the limited number of scholarships available, those scholarships are going to have to be earned. There's no room in recruiting for awarding a scholarship based on loyalty to a former player.

The Shox were undefeated this year because in the last 5 minutes of the first half and the last 5 minutes of the game there weren't any teams that could hang with them if they were still in the game. That's because everybody playing for the Shox was able to go full speed and uptempo for 40 minutes with the breaks they got during the game. Marshall loves players who work their butts off to get in the best physical condition they can achieve. The guys who can go 40 minutes tend to come out on top of the guys who can't hang with them for more than 35.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

your forgetting that Ron Baker will test the NBA draft again...and he could go pro depending on next season so that could be 4 right there...right on pace for a Marshall team

There's also the possibility of a scholarship for the young man out of Iowa who has announced he will walk on next year, especially if he turns out to be a Baker-clone.

But I have to admit that I would love to see young Mr. Carr and Mr. McDaniel in the black and yellow. Woof. What a hoot that would be. Good luck to both young men on their pursuit of D1 bb!

We would be delighted and honored if you chose the Shocks to feature your future college high-light reel.
And I was there for every game that your dad played. Those were heady days for Shocker fans.

The "Big Dog". I love that nickname. No one has to guess what that name means.

AC was and still is my ALL-TIME favorite player for Wichita St.!!!! As a kid in the 80's....he was my hero!!!! Nice, humble, mean and nasty the Big-Dog was.

Have no idea if his wonderful son is a big-time player (recruit) ready for a Top-5 program....but even if the younger Carr is not....I say...give him a scholarship anyways!!!! Would be a great feel good story and having the origianal "Big-Dog" in the house cheering his son and the Shocks on would just be AWESOME!!!

That was my first year too. I also saw plenty of Heights games in the years prior.

My respect, admiration and affection for AC will always be at the highest level. A Wichita great, a Shocker great and a vastly underrated pro player that did it year in and year out with total professionalism, complete class and a love of the game. Antoine is the most personable and most likeable former pro athlete I've met over the years. He deserves all the blessings in life he is receiving and I wish AC and AC Jr. all the best.

Wow nice moves. Some old school stuff mixed in there! Overall game reminds me of former shocker JT Durley.

He is a walk on. I'm sure he will contribute in practice, etc. I think some still believe ron baker was just a walk on. Now they think all walkons are potential NBA players. Odd

I was a few years out of high school when AC and Valentine were at Heights. They were beating everybody in the city by about 50 points a game. I went and saw a game of theirs at the Roundhouse. I didn't get to see AC playing for WSU, because by the time he got to WSU, I'd moved to Tucson.
