Esahia Nyiwe a 6'10 forward/center from Omaha, Nebraska. Was a sophomore at Clarendon College in Texas. His offers so far this spring have been Texas Tech and WSU. Will have two years to play D1.

Now we're talkin'. Completes the matching set along with Jumpin' Josaphat. I like.

Might be good time to put on the full court press Coach.

Says he's from Omaha. Wonder if he is already aquainted with Poor Bear?

Wichita State has been eying Nyiwe for awhile and finally pull the trigger on a scholarship offer to the JUCO center. He's a 6-foot-10, 210-pound gazelle who is a big-time shot blocker. Still raw, but the potential is intriguing. Texas Tech also just offered.

Kerry needs to add 20-25 pounds to that frame but the trend towards looking for long, athletic guys who can run and jump continues. As Taylor says another gazelle for the growing herd.

Actually, this young man looks like he has decent handles for a 6-10 player.

You never know what to make of juco stats for sure but one thing that struck me was he had 34 assists and 34 turnovers this past season. Our 4 bigs (Jaime, Mo, Asbjorn and Poor-Bear) combined for 34 assists and 82 turnovers.

That would make the classes (assuming no RS):

                  FR - 4
                  SO - 2
                  JR - 4
                  SR - 2

This kid could be a potential RS, IMO, to add on some muscle and refine the raw edges. I think JS could be a potential RS as well.

Add a GT Big, and that put the classes at

                  RS - 1*
                  FR - 3
                  SO - 3**
                  JR - 3
                  SR - 3

                  * = JS
                  ** = including EN

Averaged 8 and 8 with 2.2 bpg as a sophomore. 67% from the field, 33% from 3 and 57% from FT.

My scenario has them adding an additional Grad Transfer Big..

Esahia Nyiwe would be a junior. He played his freshman year at Iowa Western and his sophomore year this past season at Clarendon College (TX).
