  • Julian Rishwain 6'5 SG 2019 to Boston College

WSU has offered 6'5 Julian Rishwain from Sherman Oaks, California. Julian has flown under-the-radar, but had a huge weekend at the Vegas Fab 48 last week. He has recently received offers from Colorado State, Hawaii, Denver, San Francisco, and Charlotte. Interest is also coming from K-State, Boston College, Davidson, Stanford, and New Mexico State. He appears to be an elite shooter with good height and an improving passing and defensive skillset.

One can take your statement either positively or negatively. My hunch is that you view an AR without a shoulder problem (who is stronger) as a big positive as do I. One could make the case that a team needs a more athletic guard as a playmaker, and defender, but a smart player who is a good shooter and has good handles is a very nice player to compliment other teammates on an elite team.

Impressive! Even fact checked and spelled "Wichita" correctly instead of embarrassing himself on Twitter! I actually think he may be interested in attending Wichita St. :)

Measure them by having them standing on their head!

"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

More highlights from last weekend. I like this kid's game. Chris Jans and NMSU offered today. Given his current slate of offers, we would seem to be a heavy favorite. We'll see who else gets involved.

To qualify my "another AR" comment - it was meant to be a positive remark. Kid has a good step back shot
with a quick release and can drive it too. I think he would become another fan favorite quickly. Hope he signs !

This guy seems like a competent 3 point shooter. Other than that, and this is just based on his highlight video, he plays below the rim and does not have a lot of strength. He uses his body decent to get his layups, but that stuff won't fly at the D1 level (ask Haynes-Jones or McDuffie). You have to be able to get high and finish strong, unless you have the moves and body control of FVV. I'm not questioning our recruiting, but I will call this guy a RS candidate if signed him.

‘Treated like royalty:’ This 2019 basketball recruit impressed by Wichita State fans

                            BY TAYLOR ELDRIDGE

Before Julian Rishwain could arrive in Wichita for his official visit, the Class of 2019 prospect received a taste of just how basketball-crazy Wichita can be.

On his connecting flight from Las Vegas to Wichita, he noticed a woman on the plane wearing a WSU jacket. He mentioned he was headed there to speak with the basketball coaches and within minutes, a crowd had formed around the recruit telling him how loud Koch Arena is, how great of a coach Gregg Marshall is, and how much the Shockers are adored in Wichita.

It was a recruiting pitch before the recruiting pitch and it left Rishwain, a 6-foot-5 guard from the Los Angeles area, in awe.
