His size and shooting ability I think could end up being absolute game changers down the road. I know FVV is the prize of the FR class and I can't wait for him to do what he does, but there's something about a 6'8" kid that can shoot like Green and handles the ball well that excites me. Uwadiae is a project that could turn into a diamond, but time will tell. Same can kind of be said for Green. Nobody knows how good this kid can be. It may be a couple of years down the road before we fully see it, but I have to say he's the most one that I'm most intrigued by.
Just imagine the lineup though in say '14-'15
PG - FVV
SG - Baker
SF - Green
PF - Watson/White
C - Uwadiae/Watson
And we'd still have Cotton as well. This looks like a pretty good JR/SR group to me. A PG with great vision and the ability to score. Two excelent outside shooters and good ball handlers. Great size and athleticism with Uwadiae and Watson. And a workhorse with range in White. That's an exciting group of upper classmen down the road.
You never know who may turn out to be a bust. But ever since we started getting info on Green, he's been near the top of my list of wants and I can't wait to see him in action. I hope to make a couple of trips over during the summer and see some games and get a feel for who may bring what to the table.
