    Myreon Jones 6'3 G 2018 to Penn State

    WSU is showing interest in Myreon Jones, a 6'3 guard from Birmingham, Alabama. Myreon was committed to Memphis and Tubby Smith before the coaching change. I know the Shockers had started to show interest in Myreon this winter. Have seen him listed as both a point guard and as a combo guard. Has/had offers from Memphis, Ole Miss, Colorado State, Stephen F Austin, New Mexico State, Fordham, UAB, Little Rock, Murray State, Wofford and South Alabama. Interest is starting to pick up from Wisconsin and Georgia Tech as well. Myreon is ranked #101 in his class by 247 Sports, and also received a 3-star rating from Rivals. Myreon played with the Georgia Stars this past summer on the Nike EYBL circuit; averaging 15 points and 4 assists per game.

    Memphis has not been in contact since the coaching change took place.
    Would it not be a bit two-faced of Memphis to dump Tubby primarily because they didn't think he could recruit and then turn around and go after Tubby's decommits?

      Who on Memphis is allowed to contact him. Penny cant (hasn't passed his recruiting test by the NCAA and there are no assistants hired at this point)

        Supposedly they've hired Tony Madlock who was an assistant and interim HC at Ole Miss.
        Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

          Fairly quiet out there for Myreon, considering that he is a 4-star, Top 100 guard with some length. Twitter lists post-decommit offers from Loyola-Chicago, Missouri State, SFA, and the Bonnies, with reported interest from TAMU, WSU, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin and Louisville. I wonder if we're still involved.

              Have we even offered this kid? Eldridge wrote an article that included some stuff about him. I would hope we are at least trying to talk to him.
