  • Andres Feliz 6-2 Juco PG to Illinois

Didn't see a thread for Andres, despite 247sports listing WSU as involved at one time and WSU coaches were in the building during his game in Hutch the other day.

Andres, who plays for Northwest Florida State, is a former USF commit ranked No. 12 in JucoRecruiting.com's Top 100 Player Rankings, and No. 1 among point guards.

In his first game at Hutch, he went for 24 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals with no turnovers in 32 minutes. He did not attempt a three-pointer, although he shoots at a 42.7 percent clip for the season.

    Season stats are impressive.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Recent article on the unanimous Panhandle POY with no mention of his recruiting. Not sure what to make of that.

Holds the all-time assists record at NWF State.

NICEVILLE — Before the season, Andres Feliz talked of goals. The team goals were paramount for the NWF State sophomore point guard: Win the Panhandle Conference, take the Region 8 crown and a captu…

He has a high BBIQ and distributes well. This is the number one target IMO, however he has ties to the Illinois coaching staff. We shall see.

Feliz and Akinjo are our top two targets would be my guess.

Alvarez and Feliz as a combo would be nice. Let Alvarez redshirt and learn the language

Almost a 3/1 assist turnover ratio, I like that. Not crazy athletic but smooth. Does to seem to have a slow release.

I like the idea of a Juco gap-fill. A possible impact player and it will help spread out scholarships so we're not having to fill six again in four years.

Had a weird stat line in today's 107-93 loss to Southern Idaho. 28 points on 11-19 shooting (0-2 from three, 6-12 from the free throw line); 11 rebounds (7 offensive); 5 steals; but ... 1 assist and 6 turnovers. They were down 16 at halftime.

On Wednesday, Illinois got a crystal ball prediction for Andres Feliz, a JUCO PG. Feliz was playing at the JUCO National Championships that Brad Underwood attended this week

Orlando Antigua was the coach at south Florida when he committed to them out of high school, he is now an assistant at Illinois.
