I think you're the one being a little sensitive. If this guy was a better balhandler than our ENTIRE guard ensemble, then why isn'Texas and Texas A&M camped out on his porch. His HS team isn't talked about as being among the elite in Tx (I know, I live here), he isn't anywhere close to the top of the Texas top 100, and in addition, you insult our current players, who are not only older and stronger than Mr. Gramling by making such a foolish comparison. Not only that, why did he sign with Army?

The last time Army had a decent team was when Bobby Knight was their coach!

No association, no relation, never even met the kid. I happen to live in the 26-5A district and have gone to those schools' games for years. Saw an opportunity to contribute firsthand information to the board and happened to love how much this kid reminds me in skills and appearance of Mullins. He was the only underclassmen on the All-Metro team last year, I was interested to see how much he developed, and felt like updating the thread.

As stated previously, all observations and comparisons were meant as compliments to Gramling and not insults to any current players.

I don't have the time or inclination to address anything else you said.

I mean we keep dragging some names up from the list of those that are no longer on our radar with new and greater exploits by them and the point is what? I can see if they re open their recruitment or have a sister thats really hot and has appeared in some mens magazine but really whats the point. And if their sister is hot the only thing I would need to know is if there was a link to the pictorial or what issue they were in. My apologies to the memory of Mr. Andy Rooney.
I've always happened to enjoy reading the updates on guys that went off our radar for one reason or another, even if its years after the fact. And I always assumed that people could skip over stuff that they didn't have any interest in. Maybe I'm wrong.

          Sorry for jamming everyone up.

Khan, you sound as though you may not be aware of this, but players who go to Army (or Navy, or Air Force) generally have something larger in mind than college sports, which are important in their own way but secondary in the larger scheme of things.

Absolutely. If he is attending Army he has a lot going for him in addition to his skills as a basketball player whatever they may be. I wish the young man all the best in his future.

And I guess you'd be wrong, WSUWatcher. I had a cousin, my age, who graduated from Air Force Acadamy. He's now a pilot for Delta.

And I never, ever, once said he was better than all but one of the guards on an NCAA division 1 bassketball team that's 16-3.

I understand that people go to the service academies to become leaders. Basketball isn't as important. That's why Army hasn't been in the top 25 in division 1 basketball for some time.........

Correction, 15-3, not 16-3, I don't want to jinx them.

I just thought I'd toss a couple pennies into this conversation.

                      Coach K.

                      That is all.
