Rayvon went 24-11.75 in the finals but that was only good for 10th place in the IAAF U20 Worlds. The winner from Japan went 26-4.25.
All-in-all a a hell of a reshman year for the kid from St. Louis. Conratulations Rayvon. I'm sure the USA and Junior Worlds have been a great experience for Rayvon.
Shocker teammate Taran Taylor competes in the javelin early Friday morning at 1:30 a.m. CT.

Taran had an off day throwing the javelin and could only manage 197-8 in Group B well below his best and well below his winning effort in the USA U20 Championhsips.
Taran Taylor finished 13th in group B of the men's javelin qualifying round at the World U20 Championships.
Still a hell of a freshman year for the young man from Arkansas City, perhaps a unexpected and surprisingly good year. And the Shocks have him around for 3 more years.
