  • I haven't seen it in here but if A&M goes to the SEC then i've seen that the Pac 10 would take Utah over KU. I love this because I can't wait to see all the KU fans cry, but I also want to see a mid major jump up to the BCS level and see how they compete.

      From the KC Star:

First, there’s the Pac-10, which is moving quickly. If A&M doesn’t go west, Scott could look at Kansas as a member. But a source close to the situation said Utah would likely be targeted by the Pac-10 before the Jayhawks.

      • Salt Lake City has something like the #30 TV market and is one of the fastest growing. This is about revenue.

Maybe the remaining Big 12 schools can join the Missouri Valley and they can call it “The Big Valley” Greg Marshal can be Nic Cartright, Bill Self can be Heath. They can bring back the fat football coach from KU to play Hoss. Now we just need a hot babe to be Audry. :yahoo:

            Audra.

But I like the way you think.

            • I think you meant Nick Barkley. Hoss Cartwright and his bros Little Joe and Adam were on Bonanza.

I suspect one of the new super-conferences will adopt the Big Bonanza as their name but only if one of the other supers beat them to the much coveted Big Ka-Ching.

              • Not sure what the attraction Texas Tech holds for the PAC 10. They are probably a better fit in the Mountain West. Of course, they might be a member of the Association of Americian Universities. Yeah, that must be it.

Tech has had some really interesting games to watch the last couple of years.

When the score is 72 - 68 and both teams have 500 or 600 yards of offense, there's a lot happening, some eye-popping stats, and lots of ESPN highlights. Tech is marketable.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Not anymore. They fired one of the greatest offensive minds in college football and replaced him with one of the worst.

                      • I think the Shocks should make an all out bid to join the NATO conference and bring down some desert storm via tanks, smart bombs, drones and heavy artillery on all of these BCS &%$#suckers! I am fairly sure we could kick Texas and Nebraska butt with some of these scenarios and there'd be noone left to pick up the "Big Trophy" but us. That's what you can do with your superconference!

                            • And one that says the opposite is about to happen:

The departure of Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the Pac-10 is imminent, four sources within the Big 12 said Monday.

I'm going to go with the reports from the UT Rivals site over ESPN. I've got a feeling their sources may be a little better. However, they've also said it's a very fluid situation. What it appears to be coming down to is what aTm decides to do. If they choose to stay the B12 looks to survive. If they go to the SEC then it appears it may be dead.
