Northern Colorado coach Tad Boyle is set to be named to the same position at the University of Colorado, sources with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com's Andy Katz on Monday.
The Boulder Daily Camera reported Monday that the school would hold an afternoon news conference.
Boyle comes to the Buffaloes after four seasons at Northern Colorado. His team was 25-8 this season, second in the Big Sky. It was the most wins in school history. In four seasons, his overall record is 56-66.
Boyle, a Greeley, Colo., native, played collegiately at Kansas in the mid-1980s.
