WSU makes a lot of sense if you're Joe Ragland. The Shockers just finished second in the MVC behind a sweet 16 team and we return everyone EXCEPT the kid that played HIS position. We're bringing in a 7-footer that Ragland would have likely seen in Hutch and remembered based on the freakish athleticism. We just won 25 games and he can plan on playing in from of 10K plus for 20 games a season. He had a list of nice programs that had been recruiting him, but it's not like Syracuse or Pittsuburg were banging on his door.
Joe Ragland makes a lot of sense for Wichita State. We return everyone except our first team MVC point guard that ran the offense like a clock and hit three pointers and FT's. Joe looks like he could be the type of PG that can do those sorts of things, and possibly even better than Clevin. We have long players, and athletic players. We've got guys that play D and guys that pass and guys that score. What we didn't have was a proven long range AND dribble drive threat that could run the point. No offense to DW on this, but thus far we've only seen it for ten games.
Joe seems like a good fit and I'm excited to see him in Black and Gold!
