WSU was just mentioned twice on Sportscenter....even referenced the Battle of New Orleans.

On Sportscenter they showed all of the 8 MVC teams that have been to the sweet 16 since 1990.

They then went on to say the last of the current MVC teams to win in the sweet 16 and go on to the Elite 8 was Wichita State and they beat Kansas to do it in 1981 (Tulsa did it after that but they didn't mention that).

I was also surprised that Digger Phelps said that UNI would have a good chance to win against either Maryland or Michigan St. And the other guy said that he thought that UNI had an advantage because of Eggelseder over either one of them.

Well...a whole bunch of KU fans were telling me that WSU sucked after we lost in the valley championship to UNI...

Whenever anyone questions why some Shocker fans have such disdain for Kansas. Please be sure to post a link to this thread, there could not be a better example.

Truly it would be nice to love KU. I mean they win all the time, they are in the top ten 90% of the season almost every year, I would love to be a fan of a team like that! Unfortunately all the scum of the earth seems to land there. And many of their fans are also scum of the earth. Therefore I cannot stand them.

Oh and the KU hats and shirts at WSU games doesn't help much either.

And neither does the fact that they won't play us.

LOL. You think because UNI beat KU it somehow validates WSU. The unathletic chuck the 3 offense works one out of 10 times. UNI is going to get raped whoever they play next. You pretend not to be obsessed with KU but there is a 20 page thread about them.

I want to make love to your face for finding that stat. My bro in law was all "3 point shooting BS blah blah blah I have sand in my nethers" and so when he starts in on that again today I'll be all like "word" and he will be all like "I didn't even go to KU, why do I care?"

I hate to break the news to the BCS and KU Fan, but actually UNI played just an average game.

They were a little better than average from 3.....at 34% but way under from the field as a whole at 40%. They are a good FT shooting team so the 84% wasn't all that out of line.

The better TEAM won. UNI > KU.

The team that shared the ball, maintained a game plan, out hustled and out fought the other team won, period.

There wasn't any miracle or bad officiating or injuries or home court advantage (at least not for UNI). They overcame, and they won. And let's not forget the Panthers controlled the game for about 39 1/2 minutes as well.
