Anyone else ever feel sort of sorry for Indiana State? I've always had sort of a soft spot for them. I know Larry played there, but other than that it seems like they've never had any success in anything in my lifetime. I can remember one year a few years ago where they were semi-decent in basketball, but other than that they've generally been terrible. They have one of, if not the, worst I-AA football programs. They apparently have like 8 fans (which, given their schools athletic performance, is pretty understandable). My question is: why is Indiana State so terrible at sports? No administrative support? Indiana is a basketball state and IU is *down* right now and has been for a while. Why is Indiana State so bad?

NO!!! They've been to a finals in St. Louis (I believe they won), we haven't.

No one wants to go to school in Terre Haute.

I've never been to Terre Haute but I can't imagine it's much worse than Ames or Stillwater or even Manhattan (even though I kinda like Manhattan). Granted those are BCS teams but those are pretty bad college towns. In the MVC, UNI manages to win in the middle of BFE in FB and BB in a state with two BCS teams. And don't get me started on Peoria. I'm just saying that a crappy college town doesn't seem to be an impediment to some of these other schools winning once in a while; why can't InSU?

The Birds made an asserted effort to change how they were playing this game. Down 12 in the 1st half with 3:30 to go, they were 2-14 from 3pt. For the rest of the game, they were 1-2 from the 3.

Can I say one thing. I'm very proud that our students don't wear the dumb pinstriped overalls. CU does it and UNI as well. Not sure if others do but they are the worst looking things I've seen by a student section.
