I'm curious how many of those were during the last 5 minutes with our maximum depth bench in? Any easy way to tell?
The Play-by-Play shows 3 turnovers in the last 6 minutes (2 by Felter and 1 by Mayes).

I don't think that the place will be full of MSU fans....maybe WSU haters. The Bears don't have great fan support like the Shocks. I'm not sure they get by the PIG.

The only MVC team that was better on the road than us this season was UNI. I predict we make it to the championship game...from there it's a toss-up. Hopefully Ogercedar will be worn out by then.

MSU scares me too but we can own them like we owned Creighton baseball in 91'. 8-0

interesting. So 14 turnovers effectively. Not great but sustainable.

I think we win 1 or we win 3. If we win the 2nd game and finally break through to the finals, I'd be pretty confident going in to that one.

I have hard time guessing at these so many little things add up...I will say that we need gabe obviously but it may come down to how healthy stutz's ankle stays for 3 games...the more stutz plays and is effecitve will allow JT to be the MVP of the tournament...
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

I was just thinking the exact same thing. WSU doesn't look good to win 3 straight. UNI looks ripe for someone to pick them off on a neutral court. That doesn't leave anybody that looks better than WSU to win 3 in a row on a neutral court.

I believe that crucial second game is against IlSU - isn't it?

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I'm nervous about whomever we get on Friday, but if we do manage to get past that, I think the winner of the Saturday game on the 2-3 side will be the autobid....just my .02.

                      We win at least two.

Who knows what happens in the championship game.

                      We will beat MSU.

We beat them twice and they will have just played a game the night before.

They lost a "must have" game last night and if they get past Evansville, I think they are spent.

We are coming off one of the best games we've played all year.

Also, I bet there are just as many WSU fans as MSU fans. Last year, we out numbered them. During the Thursday play-in.

My head says we go 1-1.

Considering it's been 4 years since we've made it to Saturday, it would be refreshing to see that at least happen this year.

I'm also not too worried about fan support. Hopefully Creighton fans are out by 2:00 so they'll be cleared out. Otherwise, they'll be a lot of MSU fans there.

I see no reason why we can't win 2. 3, maybe.

Here's the deal. I had shut things down for the night and suddenly infinitesimal introspection of the Lou began racin through my lil pea brain. Thus, just for each and every one of you Shocker zealots, I fired the squirrels in cyberspace back up to share this FSF masterpiece--(tsk, tsk, tsk)

                              1. While the Shocks have displayed some blase' tendencies on the road, we actually played decent in our 2 neutral games this Season without #3 and went 1-1 with a win versus Iowa and a loss versus a solid Pitt. team.

                              2. Can you think of a solitary reason for the Shocks not to utilize our bigs to the max in each game we play? We seem solid when we play from the inside out. Sat., our guards did good with penetrating and dishing.

                              3. Speaking of penetrating, can we hamper our opponents dribble penetration with better help defense without fouling? Can our defense hold our opponents to well under 50% from the field while we focus on shooting good % shots while drawing fouls?

                              4. Speaking of not fouling, we need to keep Hannah, and our bigs out of foul trouble. Maybe we throw in a twist of zones at St. Louie?

                              5. Shocker turnovers need to be kept to a mild roar for us to win.

                              6. There is no team I fear in this Tourney if we play like we can. Look for Toure' to have a solid tourney.

                              7. As Coach Marshall suggested earlier this year, the future is NOW for Clevin. You know that we always have a great chance to win with #3 on the floor. He has raised the bar for our Program and will give us his all and prolong his Shocker tenure for as long as he possibly can. Can u dig that? Groovy.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

This is a team with a new sense of purpose. I like our chances now more than ever. They know what's at stake. I also think they have what it takes to win it all.

I say we win all 3 games and make it to the big dance.

I've always been an optimist though....
