The boys need to realize their crap smells just as bad as the rest of ours. They are not good enough just to show up. The fight inside needs to pick up and stay up.

Every Virginia has there Chaminade. This was ours.

Lloyd: I want to ask you a question... straight out, flat out... and I want you to give me an honest answer. What do you think the chances of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?
Mary: Well Lloyd... that's difficult to say... you really don't...
Lloyd: Hit me! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
    Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: [Gulps] You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like... one out of a million.
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance. Yeah!

Ha, my theory is they just hit a wall, have to get over it. We are dead tired, beat up! Its been a long season, we have alot of young players. They are trying, they don't want to play bad. The rest of the season will be interesting. Lets get behind them and hope for the best. Go Shockers!!!

No, it was horrible - but rehashing it over and over and over and over again...especially in a separate thread...

Life does go on, and there are more games to be played. I'm not gonna take my ball and go home. ;-)

Pretty accurate I believe - maybe emotionally immature - not all to do with youth. We have enough upperclassmen.

It's a hard game to purge...a win Sunday and thrashing Evansville Wed nite ought to do the trick

If you don't wanna see an embarrassing loss rehashed over and over on a fan messageboard, then maybe you should take a break from it for a few days..

                    You want news?

We, an NCAA bubble team, lost to a 290 RPI team that was on a 14-game losing streak and was winless in the conference. And members of our basketball team were seen yawning during its occurrence.

In 1982, Chaminade, then a member of the NAIA, defeated Virginia in what is considered the biggest upset in college basketball history. Virginia, which featured Ralph Sampson and Rick Carlisle, was the top-ranked team in NCAA Division I basketball entering the game after posting victories against Georgetown (with Patrick Ewing) and Phi Slama Jama of Houston. But in the Blaisdell Arena, the 3,500 fans in attendance - most of whom had come to see the Nation's #1 team - witnessed the historic 77-72 upset. Many newspapers reportedly checked sources several times to make sure the story was right - that 800-student NAIA Chaminade had actually defeated the NCAA's top-ranked Virginia.

                        Danny: It's Danny, sir.
Ty: Danny. Danny, I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen; all you have to do is get in touch with it. Stop thinking...let things happen...and be...the ball.

Spin it how you want. "History" will keep us out of the NCAA Tournament.
