No, BipolarFever, there's only one of me. You couldn't handle multiples.

I've already made my only prediction, and it doesn't involve individual games. I will say that I'm not necessarily expecting a win at Utah State -- but, at the same time, nothing good that this team does surprises me. They're capable of beating anyone they play.

Sure hope our players aren't as eager to give up and you are Fever. Of course, if they reacted the same way you do, you'd be the first to jump all over them (well, after MTXE). You can give up all you want, but they'd better not, right?

For me, I just hope our team is not full of quitters.

I couldn't handle you like you couldn't handle Cold?

When the team acts bipolar from home to the road, you can call me whatever that floats your boat.

Realism is a nasty thing. I'm not a player, I'm a fan. Big difference.

Giving up? Never. But like I said for some, realism is a nasty medicine.

With your realism, the Cardinals would have given up in '64. The Giants would have given up in '51. I'll go for realism when there is no chance. Win 3 games in St. Louis and there's no NIT involved. If you don't think there's a chance, fine. I do. Is it a given, no, but it's a much better chance that the Cards had with a week to go in the '64 season.

Sounds to me like you've given up on any chance of that happening.

I'm predicting the 6'10" Utah St. center, who has been unspectacular so far, will have the game of his life when we come to town. :(

                  Hmm

Gee, BipolarFever, I thought I handled Cold fine. He was the one who got in trouble by going off the deep end in response to me (and others). Maybe you should check with your nemesis MTXE to see what he thinks.

But enough of that; time to move on, and I'll give you this much: the Shocks have indeed been pretty bipolar home vs. road this year. Given that this is college basketball, where such behavior isn't uncommon, and their relatively limited level of experience, though, it isn't entirely surprising coming from them. Hopefully next year will be better, although PG play will obviously have a lot to do with it.

How about you -- do you think you can settle down by then? Or are you just going to continue being like a big-city sports fan whose reaction to the local teams (I'm thinking Mets, Jets, Giants, Phillies, Eagles, etc.) ranges from blazing hot to absolute zero from one day to the next. Seriously, you make KC look levelheaded

                  --lighten up, man.

Hey I think you need to climb down from Fever's back. He has gained a little optimism from last year, become more of a voice of reason and there is a real moron out there coopting the initials of our slogan from the Gene Smithson era. Which brings me to MTXE --scurry off to Swish and 10.

                        Thanks Ashockalypse.

Some people get a bit rattled with my up and downing of the team. But I'm just staying as consistent as they are.

But I hope my fandom is never questioned..

No, there's not doubt that you're passionate about the Shox. I'm also sure that even if you sound like you're giving up, you'll be cheering them on every step of the way. We're all different and while we all can get discouraged after a loss, some just expect more or less from that point forward.

I realize that the Shox cannot win the regular season unless UNI stumbles pretty badly now, but I still believe that they can rebound from the UNI loss and keep improving and hopefully even get more playing time and success from the bench in order to be ready for St. Louis. I believe they will have as much chance as anyone of winning the 3 games required.

Nevada vs USU tonight at 9 CST on the ESPNU. this is a home game as well for USU. they beat the Wolfpack on the road earlier this year....
