We are listed as one of the first four out for this week.

      The last four in are...

      ODU-- William and Mary 2/3 (WIN 61-2), @VCU 2/6( LOSS 58-70)-----1-1
      Cinci-- @Notre Dame 2/4 (LOSS 83-65, Syracuse 2/7 (LOSS)----0-2
      Uconn-- @ Louisville 2/1 (LOSS 69-82), Depaul 2/6 (WIN 64-57)-----1-1
Florida-- Alabama 2/4 (WIN 66-65), Miss. St. 2/6 (WIN 69-62)---2-0

Us and the other three teams in last four out...

      Louisville-- Uconn 2/1 (WINN 82-69), Rutgers 2/6 (WIN 76-60)----2-0
      Seton Hall-- @Villanova 2/2 (LOSS 71-81), @Pitt 2/6 (LOSS 58-83)-----0-2
      Marquette-- Depaul 2/3 (WIN 80-69), @Providence 2/6 (WIN 82-79)---2-0
      Wichita State-- @UNI 2/3 (LOSS 56-59), Indiana State 2/6 (WIN 76-70)----1-1

And the next four out behind us...

      North Carolina-- @Virginia Tech 2/4 (LOSS 74-70), @Maryland (LOSS 71-92) ---0-2
      Illinois-- @Iowa 2/3 (WIN 57-49), Mich State 2/6 (WIN)-----2-0
Virginia-- NC State 2/3 (WIN 59-47), Wake Forest 2/6 (LOSS 61-64)----1-1
      Dayton--- Xavier 2/6 (WIN 90-65)--- 1-0

I will try my best to update all the games for each day that there are some. But if anyone would want to help by posting them in the thread that would be nice too!

And yes I know many of you do not think we are in no matter what, but for those of us who want to hope and speculate, those are the teams we are up against.

Alot of basketball to be played!

That doesn't even make sense. A 3-point loss at UNI

This weeks as was stated before we are in the 4-8th teams out list. I feel like that drop may be a little more than warranted, as other teams had losses just as bad or worse and didn't drop as much. However here is this weeks rundown.

            Last four in are...

            Okla State ---- Okahoma 2/13
            Dayton ---- Charlotte 2/10, @St. Louis 2/13
            ODU ---- @JMU 2/10, GMU 2/13 (Go Patriots!)
            Louisville ---- @St. Johns 2/11, @Syracuse 2/14

            First four out are...

            Marquette ---- USF 2/13
            Cincinnati ---- @Uconn 2/13
Notre Dame ---- @ Seton Hall 2/11, St. Johns 2/14
            South Florida ---- @Marquette 2/13

            Next four out...

            Connecticut ----@ Syracuse 2/10, Cinnci 2/13
            Virginia Tech ---- @ NC State 2/10, Virginia 2/13
            Virginia ---- @Maryland 2/10, @ VT 2/13
            Wichita State ---- @Evansville 2/9, Missouri State 2/13

Considering the SOS of Wichita State, it makes sense to me that each stumble we have will cuase us to slip more than other teams.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Nice to see a couple bubble teams are playing each other this week. Nice opportunity for us to move back up.

I guess that 3 point loss on the road to a ranked UNI must have cost us 14-16 spots. We lost that game, split for the week and dropped 4 spots. Dayton played only one game for the week and won at home against Xavier, a lower team than UNI, and they moved up 10 spots.

Gee, if we had won at UNI, we would have moved up 10-12 spots and been well above the last for in.

It was more of a lost opportunity, if anything. Lunardi didn't penalize us. Other teams just jumped us because we missed yet another chance to build up our fairly week resume.

I'm just thrilled that we're even in the discussion at this point.

What are the chances of Wichita State making it in? The @ UNI loss did not hurt their chances

Still a decent shot. Better win the Bracket Buster game.

                        Most likely right.

I'm just a little PO'd that we're not getting the same love here as other mid-majors. You know as well as I do that if we had beaten UNI there, we might have gotten into the bottom of the last 4 in, up maybe 4 or 5 spots. Dayton, on the other hand, wins at home and jumps 10 spots. Even ODU split for the week, losing at (a lesser than UNI) VCU by 12 and only dropped 2 spots.

Why would we get the same love as some other mid-majors? We have an OOC SOS of 330, no marquee OOC wins (T-Tech is not as glamorous as it once was). Our overall SOS is weak, we have beaten 10 teams with below .500 records and have a bad loss to Drake

IF we beat USU at their place, then I say we should be included, until then we don't deserve it. On paper, we don't compare to Dayton. They have a SOS of 38, have beaten Georgia Tech, ODU, and Xavier and their conferece RPI is a whole lot better than the MVC's.

Arizona's horrible road trip to the Washington schools, especially the blowout loss to WSU, means Arizona will probably have to win the PAC-10 tournament to make the dance. The PAC-10 is once again looking like a one bid conference. In order for the PAC to get two bids, more than likely Cal needs to win the regular season PAC championship and another school win the tournament. There's still a lot of games left so who's a bubble team and who is not could change a lot.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, KC. It just that Lunardi shouldn't be showing us that high to begin with if that's the case (and I'd have no problem with that this year). I assume, that at any given week, if we're listed at a certain level, your criteria above has already been taken into account. Therefore, like results from like RPI teams and their like RPI opponents should be treated the same.
