No ban. Let him/her continue to post ... I would miss the entertainment of the often humorous, naive assertions and assessments provided by MTXE. And ... I don't think it's COLD. While COLD's posts were often inflamatory, he demonstrated much (relatively speaking) knowledge of the game.
I miss the good ole days when people from other teams would come here and some harmless and livelybanter would transpire. Now we just kill our small minded/ignorant relatives with a shovel.
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"
MTXE is not Cold. The styles are just too different
MTXE should definitely not be banned. It's always good to have pompous, arrogant, "know-it-all" posters who are entitled to a National Championship every year and if they don't get it, the players are doltish louts and the coach has to be fired.
It lends some variety among the majority here who cheer for the Shox and only expect the players to give it their all and see where that leaves the Shox.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
There is no doubt MTXE is a troll. Some of you might have a misconception of what a troll is.
Wiki says: "In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."
Clearly, MTXE posts to inflame and incite. If that weren't the case and was somehow simply anti-WSU or anti-HCGM, why would he/she expend so much effort?
Just because you don't like what someone is saying on "our" board, doesn't immediately demand that person gets banned. What rules have been broken?
Folks, you have choices:
1) Ignore posts by MTXE.
2) Don't respond to posts by MTXE - i.e.Don't Feed the Troll.
3) Man up and fight fire with fire. Respond to MTXE with facts and data that cannot be refuted.
I don't want MTXE banned - he's got a bunch of folks around here worked into a lather and it's cheap entertainment. When I get tired of it, I will choose option 1) above.
