      • Good game Shocks. You were the better team tonight. Hit some unbelievable shots at the very end of the shot clock several times after being defended well for 30 seconds. Hannah is a player! We will try harder in Wichita & even harder if we cross paths in St. Louis.

But of course. In those games where the winning team was called for two more fouls than the losing team and the free throw attempts were only equal because ISU fouls to extend the game gave WSU 6 attempts at the line to even things up in that category, clearly the officiating was to blame for the loss.

And clearly defense can have no part in the shooting of the opposition. Let's just ignore the fact that ISU decided to concede the open three early in order to shut down our inside game.

If Indiana State fans want to blame the loss on the injuries to Kelly and Latham, I could understand that, but otherwise . . .

Finding ways to win. That's what great teams do.

            :wsu_posters: :yahoo:
A Valley road win is a road win. None are easy and we'll take it. We'll have to leave it to the coaching staff to fix the issues.

Next up--to win where previously it's been nearly impossible, yet--IS possible this year. Wouldn't that be sweet???

Thanks SF the Trees are a team on the rise, I just hope not at our expense in the future! :posterwu: 8)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

              • What about them Shockers!!!!!!!??????? Torrid shooting, the ball bouncing our way, and a road win is cool. Hannah and Toure' did the deed. I really thought we would exploit them much more inside. Free throws and rebounding kept our foe in the hunt. Is this going to be "Live by the 3 and die by the 3?" Naaa!!! We will get shored-up versus Creighton for the sweep? Tonight, we dodged the bullet each time they made a mini run. Ind. State will win some future home games for sure this Season. Hannah is really leading this team on both sides of the court and providing needed leadership.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

                  Now that is HILARIOUS.

                  • In all fairness, Hip Hip's final 3 was a miracle shot. He was standing on the S when he took that last second shot.

But good players can hit miracle shots. That involves a bit of skill. It's not like Kenny or Demetric hit the prayer.

It is also true that when you let good scorers get going, which Indiana State did early with their zone, they will shoot with confidence.

There was a time where I would have disagreed -- where I thought anything like that was just dumb luck. But I've seen some of the full court shots Lebron has hit and I've realized there is such thing as skill in the looooooong ball.

                          • What I thought was interesting about Toure's miracle three was that when it looked like the ball was loose, the defender backed off. Even though it was a 30 foot 3-pointer, he had a clear look at the basket, and time to square his shoulders to the rim. If that defender pursues the ball, there's no way Murry gets that shot off.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                            • I promise you Toure' hits that shot at LEAST twice as often as Crawford can bury the 3 pointer he did.

Trees were lucky it wasn't a 30 point blowout.

                              • Btw, just a tiny glimpse into the future with KJ tonight.

That don't show my breakaway speed!

Man can he fly.....when he "gets it", look out. He gave us a couple of very good minutes tonight. I hope he is on the right track because, damn.
