There's nothing wrong coming to a WSU message board everyday if you have at least somewhat of an interest in.. you know... WSU.
You known it is ironic. I just posted something on another thread that really relates to your post.
Several times a week I think about posting something here but then back off because either it might be related to KU in some possible way or it is something I read on a KU message board or something like that.
A good example was all the praise that WSU got on kusports.com after they beat Texas Tech (actually during the game too). I thought about posting about this in reply to one of the TT threads but then didn't just because I was afraid of the reaction it would cause.
For the record I come to this message board because I'm a WSU fan. No other reason at this point. Originally I came here to watch out for streaming audio threads but those days are long over. I also read one other message board and it happens to be a KU board so it only makes sense that sometimes the two overlap.
For the same reasons, many of my posts on the KU board are about WSU. However, I must say I've never once feared the reaction there from posting there about WSU.
It is only here that I have to think about every possible way my post may be misconceived before I post. So if you want to know why I don't post more that is certainly part of the reason.
Don't mind Fever. He has appointed himself as the Shockernet Head Sheriff. Keep visiting Shockernet, he's the Sheriff but he ain't gonna get ya'. The dude is salty as me (which is not entirely a bad thing), but he's been in a good mood from us stomping all the cupcakes and is pumping out his chest of late. This in turn has squashed Mr. Hyde for the time being.
Ah yes, the fail safe unimaginative BCS/KU fan rant. Everyone, time to get another rebuttal.
Last ditch chance, I will put up my paycheck to anyone of yours. We can meet up at my house, you can see my WSU diploma, memorbilia, clothing, trading cards, and ask all my friends who I am loyal to. Hurry up though, I wouldn't mind taking your money, I want to purchase a 50 inch LED tv for myself for X'mas.
KU plays its road games either against big names or in major recruiting/TV markets. Hopefully it's both. If it was up to me, we'd have a home-and-home with WSU and one of Creighton or Missouri State each year, but it's not.
I think there should be a one-day tournament each year in Kansas City around Christmas. Kansas State, Missouri, Kansas and Iowa State get matched up against one of Wichita State, Missouri State, Creighton and Northern Iowa on a rotating basis. I'd buy the full day pass for that. Make it happen, somebody.

Keep on visting and merry X'mas.
I never said I wanted Chris to leave the site. I would just appreciate if he really was a WSU fan, to provide a bit more than the all-too-often KU-WSU mess, with a KU slant. Posting in other topics would help.
And yes I realize he does a lot for the Shockerradio department. I realize that and thank him for that, but that's all irrelevant IMO because I think that's his job.
If you call TCU and Tech cupcakes, then so be it KC..
I was in a cautious state up until then, and I'm still cautious now, but I think it's pretty obvious that we have improved greatly and we should start showing some love while we can.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Mmmmhm. Sounds awesome.
Chances of happening are nil, but it's a nice thought anyways.

Well for the record I probably only participate in a couple of these things a year. Mostly I ignore them unless they just get silly (like this one did).
Now I'm certainly not the most prolific poster but I post in 10 times that many other threads a year.
My brother went to Ku in the early 80s, his hate for us stems from the basketball and football t-shirts, those really ticked those guys off. Anyway imo the t-shirts are why they won't play, alot of ku people in wichita still have the red-a$$ about them.
He basically said that KU could play WSU and would probably win 8 times out of ten but that if KU lost then we would act like WSU won the national championship. He then said that he wouldn't blame WSU fans for than because that is the closest that WSU fans would have to a national championship.
No, just the state championship....
People really need to give this up... The Shox don't need to play KU ever as far as I am concerned. Let's just load up on other quality opponents. I would enjoy beating Michigan State or a Big East or ACC team just as much as KU, and frankly we would get more press if we did.
Having lived in KU country for almost 25 years now, I know that KU fans live in a parallel universe all to themselves. They could have your children and never even know they were pregnant.
Schedule other folks and if we just happen to bump into KU someday in the NCAA tournament and beat them again, Shocker fans should give it not more thought than if we had beaten UMKC (no offense to UMKC).
Ahhh, the t-shirts. My daughter inherited the one with the Shocker choking the Jayhawk after the football victory. She's up at K-State and wears it around campus and they love that shirt up there!
An Owen, thanks for posting. I appreciate your insight and the way you maintain your poise under a hail of criticsm.
