The problem for Illinois State last year was the after Odiakosa their post play was very thin and not nearly as productive as he was. In spite of increased post depth this year, Odiakosa is still putting in way more minutes per game than any of our big men (over 8 more minutes per game than any of our bigs). Garrett, who is 4th among our bigs in minutes averages more minutes than any post player for Illinois State other than Odiakosa. We could really help ourselves by getting Odiakosa in some foul trouble and making the other post players prove that they can put in longer shifts effectively."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

Man I gotta say no matter what everyone else say I got nuthin but love for the Nation of Shock!!
I had a run-in with the same punk who got booted from the ISU/CU game in STL before the game, and enjoyed sending the little trust fund babies home early in embarrassing fashion.
That being said, looking forward to a tough game and hope we can all get through with no injuries.
Would predict a score, but honestly not sure which ISU team will show up. The one that played 40 minutes vs. Utah or the one that laid down vs. Niagra and Ohio.
Should be a great game, if any of you are making the trip safe travels and Happy Holidays.

This would definitely be a huge win for WSU. Get one on the road early, and it sets a good tone for the rest of valley play.
But a loss wouldn't be devastating either. Might as well get the loss on the road out of the way at the beginning rather than down the stretch when it could really hurt.
So I won't predict the winner, but I do believe it will end up a one or two possession game at the end.

Here's the deal. Indeed the Redbirds are tough to beat at their house. The Shockers were roadkill in the Valley last Season and 0-6 early on. With such obstacles to consider, the Shocks also need to keep our fouls to a mild roar and keep draining our free-throws. This game will be close but I do believe we can win a close one on the road to jump-start a new Valley Season. Thus, here goes!!!!!!!

At any rate, I will go ahead and say we will win. For some reason, I'm going with my gut this time.
