Well, let's examine this for a minute. Last year we did very well in a tournament and proceeded to lose our first six conference game.
So is there any chance that if we continue to play bad in this tournament, we stand a chance of going 6-0 in the Valley?
Hell, probably not - Let's just win.

This game may be just as important as the Pitt game was. How do we respond to the loss? I'm sure the players were disappointed as was the coaching staff.
Do we come back out fighting or do we 'sulk' and play poorly?
Another important test--of a different kind tonight. It'll be great fun to watch!

We should be a much different team tonight. Iowa is definitely no Pitt, but we shouldn't overlook them either, otherwise we leave KC winless..

A loss here would be worse than UNI's turd against DePaul.
:posterwu:Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

I don't know if it was Texas' dominance led by physically superior athletes or not, but it was difficult for me to get an accurate feel for Iowa's chances against WSU.
If they heat up from beyond the arc, they could present problems for us. Also, at times they seemed to make nice cuts and move the ball around fluently which setup some open looks.
I think JT and Gabe should have success in the paint and will be the difference in tonight's game.

P.S. Welcome back Clevin! :goshocks:
