MIldly related trivia question....in the 82-83 season the Redbirds were the only team to defeat WSU in the conference season, spoiling a perfect season by stripping (some say blatantly fouling) what Shocker guard with just a second or 2 on the clock as they went for a game tying (or winning) shot? Mega dittos. I have always thought that the athletic department does a very poor job in relations with past players.

By relations, I am referring to reunions, jersey retirements, recognitions, honors for special achievements and so on.

It is a shame that players like Cheese have been treated so shabily.

Henry Carr was not present. I dimly remember James Carr playing at Hutch Juco, then transfering to WSU, where he had to redshirt due to medical issues. If he actually played, it was limited.
