His head did in fact hit the floor but not by his fall. Ramon clearly "stomped" on his head when he came down. It was one of the most painful things I have ever seen... It was a miracle that a neck was not broken.
I had to think it was his head that hit...it was just to loud to be anything else. I was in the 5th row and the end of the buffalo bench and I couldnt watch when he wasnt moving at first.....
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"
visited the stanford athletics website .... www.gostanford.com and they have up that their next opponent is WSU with a location and time TBD. Probably cant quite bear to let those 1200 fans know they need some plane tickets

Here are a few other takes on the game from my point of view:
After breaking down the CU game, Graham Hatch is playing very, very well. He isn't going to ever soar over the rim and pin a dunk attempt against the glass but geez does the kid play hard. His defense is solid, he knows EVERYTHING about the system and rarely is out of position and goes to the boards like a monster...he won't get a lot of rebounds but you cannot sleep on this kid and Buffalo found that out tonight. Never would I have dreamed Hatch would get 14 without hitting at least 3-4 threes.
JT had an early season flashback for some of the game tonight and it wasn't pretty.
Clevin can shoot.
David Kyles is getting better and better...I'd love to see this level of improvement for the next 3 years.
Aaron Ellis also is doing a lot of the little things that go unnoticed but every once in awhile he just goes blank and freezes in time.
Toure's shoulder is going to be sore in the morning but since it's his off shoulder I don't expect any problems.
I think Coach Witherspoon surprised the official who T'd him up.....I mean he was at least 10 feet on the court and I think the official just wanted to tell him to get the hell back to the bench but since he blew his whistle he had to call the T.
I don't want to be scared watching Reggie play the rest of the year. Take all the time you need young man.
I can't remember the last game that was NEVER in doubt...can you?
Why do people keep asking when the last time we played a PAC10 team?
Come on folks......Vegas? USC? I still can't believe we lost to those thugs. And I will never forget the SC fan at the game who kept saying "I can't believe it ....we beat the #8 team in the country!" while he giggled like a 6 year old girl. Of course, his grandaughter MIGHT have been 6....but he certainly wasn't.

Probably, but let's remember that it is LIKELY that they all have their own planes to fly in here anyway....In fact they may just decide to do some shopping while in town.
To add to the PAC 10 discussion (sorry Doc) - Last time I remember a PAC10 in Wichita was Washington in 2000-2001 season. Be nice to play a west coast "power conference" in Wichita again!
News about Reggie is better that I feared it would be, I was betting on concussion at least. I hope he is able to play again Monday, but first and foremost make sure he is healthy.
The crowd was great (too bad it wasn't larger) which shows how poorly the corporate so-called fans participate
during regular season games. I will be disappointed if we don't draw 10K for Stanford. The KU (dumb-ass) guy behind
the bench was helping a handicapped guy in a wheel chair. The guy in the wheel chair had on Shocker gear(kudos to him).
There is always a different wheel chair person (or 2) there at each game. Must be a special program to help challenged people see a game.
"Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media,
which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
I just have to give a  :good: :yahoo: for the medical/security staff that was under the basket at the time of Reggie's injury. He was out there faster then the clock operator could start the clock at the Scott Trade Center holding Reggie's head still. It was great to see such quick reaction, even the announcers on TV mentioned it.

Did Reggie get hurt on the north end? If so, that is where the EMS crew usually is. From TV, it looked alot worse than it probably was.
I would be $2 that Durley's 3pt attempt was a set play. There was a break right after that and Durley and Coach had an exchange that looked to me like it was something they wanted to try, it didn't work so hey, ok, no biggie let's go from there.
Also, USC? Vegas? I don't remember any of this you speak of. I remember beating Wyoming on 12/9/6 and then I just have a haze from there until we beat CU this year at home.

Yea i agree, they must have been from out of town, because i heard HCGM give them directions on how to get to the hospital.

This is a good take. UB was plenty impressed with the crowd even though the numbers were down.
“That building may be the loudest building I have ever been in,” (UB Head Coach) Witherspoon said. “We didn’t respond very well to it.”
“We let things get to us tonight that we don’t usually let happen,” Calvin Betts said. “What Wichita State did and what their crowd did was impressive but we had to keep playing and we didn’t do that.”
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”
Anybody see after the game, WU bump/push the black official, the official gave him a dirty look, it was quite comical. If we cant put 10000 people in the stands for a pac 10 school, especially one that has been recently successful like Stanford then Shockernation is not as strong as i once thought it was.
I actually saw the dude with a "Creighton Dad" shirt wandering around. I booed him much to the satisfaction of those around me.
there was a older guy, who sat behind me which was in the 2nd row of the student section came with a KU shirt on, we told him that isnt gonna work, and he end up buying a Shocker shirt. :good:
