If we don't beat Evansville this year in the final standings I am collecting my gambling loss from HCGM myself. he ain't walking away with nearly a million and finishing lower than Evansville. He is going to pay me 100.00 of that pile of cabbage. :good:

First we have to get off the blasted losing streak. Then we can talk about winning streaks. It don't even have to be pretty. At this point there is absolutely nothing wrong with one beautiful, ugly win. And two ugly wins in a row are quadruple the fun.

Between this topic, the Stutz going pro dandy and 1994's cheap DOFO imitation, it's become apparent that certain posters are heavily involved in illegal drug usage or just plain nuts.
Therefore, I submit the following recommendation to the SN Staff -
Anyone attempting to start juvenile and moronic posts be required to study all facets of SN posting guidelines and pass a written test before posting rights are restored.

Well, you can add this "inmate" to the list of ones that will not be posting in the basketball forum for a while.

Nothing I could post right now or in the foreseeable future will benefit the Shocker program or the Shocker Nation. No sense in using my verbal influence to cause any more pain than the Shocker Nation is already feeling.

There is no chance that we will go 9-6 over the rest of our schedule and thus no chance for being .500 in the Valley.

It's funny because I didn't think a game in Cedar Falls would be the one that broke the camel's back..

We have talent, just not much of it. I won't mention names, but we have some recruiting busts ... and a player or 2 hasn't played enough to know whether they can help the team or not.

For a team that is suppose to be defensively oriented, I am not happy with the defense. We do not guard the perimeter close enough and contest 3 pointers more. We do not interrupt the opponents offensive flow enough either. And I want to see more of the pressure defense, it has been effective.

Our Offense is just not very good. We don't work the ball inside enough. Our guards do not draw the opponent enough for an inside pass. Toure has been off his 3's lately. I want to see something more out of Reggie and Kyles. We don't finish the ball very well.

I don't really feel very reassured by next year's new players because they are all mostly defense, which leaves us hanging for an offense next year too.

Maybe the players we thought would be good, offensively, this year, will be good next year.

The good thing about the two we have coming in next year is there ability to get to the rim. KJ can drive and finish/dish and Hamilton can definitely finish. KJ will create plenty of opportunities for others. But those others will have to learn to finish as well.

Give the new guys time to develop and we'll be fine. The talent is there.
