This season is really reminding me of the season where Burns, Howard and Kampman were freshmen. Just so close. They'll get better with wins...maybe not this year...hopefully next. Baby steps, I guess. Would love to see them breakout. Creighton and Bradley are decent teams, but things just won't get much easier for these young guys.

Shox...as usual I come in peace. Just had to send a message to a NON shox Ghost of DICK Lamb. Sam Maniscalco says hello. :good:
To the Shox..nice battle. Feel fortunate to get out of your place with any kind of W possible.
Good luck the rest of the year.

I've never seen a 12 man rotation. Can someone please explain the 12 man rotation in the first half? In my mind this is what cost us the game. Our starters build a lead and then organized chaos happened with our rotations. Without calling out names, three of these twelve are not Missouri Valley Divsion One talent and it showed tonight. It's time to shorten the bench. Eight or Nine players need to be in the rotation.

Very, very, very disappointing game.
Right now, the Shocks are simply a little short on basketball skills and, perhaps more importantly, basketball IQ.
Surely we really aren't this bad of a free throw shooting team are we?
Clevin with probably his worst performance of the year, especially on the defensive end.
Garrett with a nice offensive game, but still has a lot of work to do defensively and on the boards. Sam Singh with only his 2nd career double figure game, including the game winner, on only 6 shots!
Hope we get better as the season progresses, but tonight was a step backwards IMHO.

I'm happy that Murry is getting 14 or so points in some games. I'm not so happy that 10-12 of them are coming in the second half. Why can't we make over 50% from the FT line. Last years team seamed to invent new ways to lose and for some reason this team is following suit. This team has shown that they can play with anybody. They haven't shown like some teams from the past that they are willing to go MTXE 100% for the entire game. If they can ever learn this they can be scary good. If not 50% is about all we can hope for because that is all that they are putting out there.

Well, everyone knows I'm a glass half full guy....but....it's emptying quick LOL.
I still think we COULD fight our way to 6th or 7th, but SIU, Indiana St & UNI will have to give us ALOT of help by losing tons.
I know that it's always hard to see wins in the future after a loss...but...well....we could easily be 1-8 or maybe 2-7 in the Valley half way through (with the only game I now feel good about being SIU at home...they really....REALLY...REALLLLLLY suck).
I was feeling decent about the game at UNI as I still think they are pretty bad...but...well...we have to show we can win on the road in the Valley before I can pick a win.
Then we play @Drake and @MSU...same rule applies, can't pick the wins until I feel better about the road.
We come home to play Creighton, if we lose like this to Bradley....well Creighton will not have too much of a problem.
Illinois St comes in, by then they will have played tougher competition and will probably be on a roll.
Evansville comes to Koch and maybe...just MAYBE this can be our 2nd win in the Valley if Evansville struggles on the road. But unless we can stop Ely and Holsinger...we may be that 1-8 team I mentioned.
Ah well, I will still continue to lose my voice cheering for the Shox anyway! Maybe next year!!! 8)"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

I think that HCGM needs to fly in the X- Man and have him give the team a little motivational speech. Couldn't hurt anything except half of the players would wet themselves right on the spot, the rest would decide that it's time to put-up or shut-up.

I guess I see this a little differently. Bradley plays a great game of ball, nearly 100% from the line, throwing up hail marys with the clock running out on about eight or so occassions and getting all the help they needed from the refs and barely win it. This is the same team that just smoked SIU.
Us on the other hand, shoot horrible in one half, get out rebounded, shoot 50% from the line and play with a ton of players that don't have a half a division one season under their belts and nearly pull it out.
We can improve the above things and will. Don't write this team off they are starting to get angry. And other teams won't like them when they're angry.

Quoting CGM, "We need to hold serve on home court."
This one hurt and can be defined as bad loss #2.
CGM had better right the ship in a hurry, with 3 of the next 4 on the road.
If not, my eagerly awaited game with CU on the 17th will have little if any meaning. 8)Above all, make the right call.
