Maybe I'm the one Shockref is calling out but let's look at this realistically:
* our offense is non existent. we dont have anyone that can finish inside and we rely way too much on Hannah making something happen. Lot of standing around dribbling.
* defensive lapses abound tonight.
* lack of intensity. need to get on the floor for loose balls. down by 13 with 3 minutes and we are walking the ball up the court??
* too many creighton offensive rebounds
I didnt expect us to win but it would be nice to play with some fire and fundamentals.
I was being sarcastic with you. You've hit the nail on the head with every post you've made. I agree totally.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Not a bad 1st half--terrible 2nd half. Not suprised that we lost, but am disappointed in the 2nd half effort. Creighton made adjustments, and it was only a matter of time before they started hitting from 3.
It'll be good to have another home game. Bradley will be tough.
Ellis looked terrible offensively, but he did have some moments of hustle. We need much more than moments of hustle.
Garrett played ok considering his illness. When he got the bad call, as Steven said (Craig) he should have immediately taken it STRONG and dunk it! Instead, he relied on that soft little short range shot. Had he tried to dunk it and moved a little quicker, he might've drawn the foul AND gotten the 2. He'll get there. He'll learn. This changes nothing as far as that is concerned.

No, it wasn't you.
You're being objective and honest. A certain other poster just moans and groans - so he can reread his posts. 8)

The only one that can finish inside is our 5'11" point guard.

The funny thing is you're giving me more attention than anyone else in here.

Kyles must be really a bad defender because despite the fact that no one had a terrific defensive game, he doesn't even get a shot. It seems like he couldn't shoot worse than the rest of the team. Maybe I'm wrong.
Most pathetic inability to score in the paint I can remember from a Shocker team (carried over from last year)....
Not a meltdown comment, just a statement of fact.
:goshocks:
...and unfortunately, it's worse when our 7 footer is in the game!
I saw a lot of positives from Stutz. Yeah, he missed some bunnies, but there were a lot of CU drives to the basket where they altered and missed shots just because there was a really big guy down there.
There are negatives and positives about Stutz right now. There are going to be negatives and positives about any Fr that gets a lot of minutes at this stage of the season, unless that Fr is headed for the NBA next year. Even those guys have negatives in their games.
If it was possible to bring Stutz on a little slower, that would be nice, but he's the only true post player on the team. He's getting experience that's more likely to produce wins in future years than this year.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
