As far as I am concerned, JT can find another school at semester. I'll help him find it, and I'll pay for his bus ticket. Give his scholarship, time, attention and uniform to someone that cares and wants to represent WSU with some heart.

In order, Reggie Britton, Mason Felter, Bret Michael and Brett Steven should get his scholarship now.

If he plays one more minute, it will be too flippin soon for me.

Let me see if I can figure this out. Clemente works harder than any player we've seen in a long time. Working as hard as Miller is HARD, but Ramon is probably doing that.

Clemente probably has several players in his camp who are buying in to his attitude and work ethic. That group of players probably doesn't appreciate those who haven't bought in to that level of effort, hustle, and work.

There might be another group that hasn't bought in to the work ethic and what the coaches want to do. You might think of it as the "good off and have fun group". If there is an emerging leader of that group, there's poison in the locker room.

Let him go for another scholarship that's a better fits with Marshall's system. End of story. Step up or step aside.

You guys are kidding me. JT plays the first ten minutes and was gased the rest of the game. We often critizied Turg for taking the hot player out. Guess what, Miller and company had there legs at the end of the game.

Oh No! He played basketeball for a whole entire 10 minutes. Let's just give him the next month off. These guys should be in the greatest shape of their lives right now. I know 10 minutes of game time is a little more than usual, but come on.

Not to mention that he had at least two media timeouts in those 10 minutes. He's supposed to be in much better shape than that. I really hope that Stutz gets many more minutes next game than Durley. JT has tons of potential but until he's willing to use it, go with the guys who are working hard.

Okay, Doc. Let's say Durley finds another school and leaves next semester like you want him to. Who do we have then to play the 5? Stutz & Ellis? The way Ellis has been playing since he came back from his injury, we would be in trouble down low. And I don't think Stutz is quite ready for extended minutes against Valley post men. Maybe by the end of the season.

                      JT

Yes, JT played the 1st 10 minutes and made a couple nice offensive plays. His defense was already lacking within those 10 minutes and the rest of the game he simply didn't care. I'd like someone to tell Xavier McDaniel that a sophomore in college was "gassed" for the remainder of the game after playing the 1st 10 minutes which included two time-outs. Especially when he didn't show much hustle even in those 10 minutes.

I had very high hopes for him. I know Coach had high hopes from him. We sat with JT at the post season dinner last year and really enjoyed him. He seemed like a really nice kid and talked like he was ready to finally give it all he had.

I'm not 100% ready to throw him under the bus yet, but only because I'm not privy to everything. Maybe there was something we didn't know. Maybe he was sick. I did notice him come up limping pretty badly once, but shortly afterward seemed to be moving better, well, better for JT at least. Doc may be closer to the situation than many of us.

If there was nothing extra that we simply don't know about, I'm with Doc. If JT refuses to put out effort, if he cannot handle 10 minutes of half-hearted effort, he will be a cancer on this team and should not be involved.

Next year, Ramon won't be here to rebound like a wild man. Hopefully Gabe Blair and help and I'm sure Garrett will improve as a rebounder. However, I seriously doubt that JT will ever be willing to give the effort necessary to be a good rebounder or defender on a regular basis. I'm for filling his scholarship with someone who will defend and rebound and give consistently outstanding effort on the floor. It is too easy for one slacker to rub off on others and thus far JT has not shown me that he has overcome being a slacker.

                      10 minutes! SHEESH!!!!!

Thanks, shock-it-to-me, and Sub. I don't buy that those 10 minutes is an excuse for being worthless the rest of the game.

As I said in another topic, JT's problem is that he doesn't anticipate and doesn't react quickly on defense. I want to believe this is a between-the-ears issue that can be fixed with some highly targeted individual instruction and workouts.

His poor reaction time can be verified by his offensive game. Note JTs assist numbers. 0.4 per game last year and no assists in two games this year. Assists require reacting to what the defense is giving you and making a quick pass.

I'm not ready to give up on JT, but I am ready to see him relegated to a reserve, if that's what it takes.

Prediction: JT will be our leading scorer in Orlando.

The big boys will play him straight-up man-to-man and won't collapse on him. He'll be in his comfort zone and he'll score. Think Paul Miller against Illinois, Michigan State and Seton Hall.

And, because he'll be playing against pure post men, not 6-6 athletes with superior foot-speed who take him outside or drive around him, his defense will appear to improve.

Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

RS, while your point is valid, I am not sure it explains why JT's assists numbers are so low.

My view, is the guy is a black-hole when he gets the ball, and he simply has no interest in finding an open teammate. Since he has no intention of giving up the rock, he has no need to look for a teammate or to anticipate what the defense is going to do.

Whether that is something that has been trained into him and can be trained out of him or whether it is simply ingrained in him, I don't know.

I'm not ready to throw JT under the bus at this point. However, he is going to have to at least make an attitude adjustment pretty quickly. When Doc, says it goes FAR deeper than the surface I am concerned something more is going on behind the scenes.

I trust HCGM will take the appropriate steps to address the stituation.

Like HCGM said, he may need to dust off his psychology books.

Personally, I am pulling for JT. Sure would be nice to see this young man realize his full potential.

They won't be 6-6 athletes, they'll be 6-10 athletes and bigger. He's really screwed against guys from teams like Georgetown if he keeps up his current pace.
