Anyone else catch the irony here?

I'll let you in on the joke, ShockRef: The word you're looking for is drivel.

Your conspiracy theoried "the liberals are coming to get us all" nonsense may continue.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

This is not my fight so I am not taking sides (I have no idea what you are writing about); however: RJL are you sure "theoried" is an actual word?

Been gone, was not around to chime in. I hate rap music, surely that in itself does not make me a racist, tho I suppose some might disagree. I imagine there is a term for those who hate liberals, but I dunno what that term is.

if you hate rap music because you hate black people that would make you a racist.

But hating rap music a racist does not one make.

                      Theoried = Theory'd.

Putting either behind a word is a common literary technique used put a pejorative tone on an action.

                        RJL,
I intentionally used the word "dribble" because the original response generates a visual of a baby spewing out his food after a crying binge.
It's an issue of perception more than anything else.
However, thank for reading and paying close attention. There may be hope for you after all. 8)
Above all, make the right call.

I think ShockRef was just trying to infuse some actual basketball talk/term into the discussion to make some posters happy about that missing substance in this thread. :D

In a strict sense, theoried is not a word. Not yet, but maybe in the future.

However, Americans love to create new words. Hence, we have growth in the dictionary every year.

Take "comparable" (4 syllables) for example. I may be the only person on this fine forum, who pronounces the word correctly. However, through common usage, we will see the day, when a new word will become accepted into the dictionary. The word is "comprable" (3 syllables).

Similarly, we have the mispronunciation of the words, "caramel" and "realtor." In the former, most folks eliminate one syllable and sound a long "a". In the latter, most folks add a syllable.

Coach Marshall said Aaron is 6-9. Coach Marshall said he did not know how that 6-7 stuff got started. (This a basketball thread, isn't it?)
