Yeah, might as well get it over before the season gets going.

        • My husband and I will be in Canada for a vacation in October. We always enjoy wearing our Shocker gear when out of town, because there are always fun interactions. Might need pepper spray this time.

Who said it was the worst ever? Top 5 meltdown or Top 100 meltdown it was not a good look.

But if that's where your bar is set, then so be it.

                • Thanks for putting that together. A couple things stick out to me.

I love the 19 FT attempts for Zach Brown. I hope he remains that aggressive this year.

Rashards stat line is really good. If he can contribute like that consistently this year it will make a big difference.

7 boards a piece for Shamet and Frankamp. It will be very difficult to replace Fred and Rons stellar rebounding but I don't think these two guys are slouches.

44 minutes for EHamilton. Terrible shooting % which surprised me based what I saw from him last year. 9 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 fouls. Maybe, just maybe he has something to contribute this year?

Agree with all this. Shamet will rebound well, but guard rebounding is largely dependent on the bigs blocking out. I didn't see much of our bigs blocking out or rebounding ion this trip. It is a team thing, however, and can and will be taught.

True, I forgot how disappointing the check outs of our bigs were. Especially that game against Carleton. It got better as the weekend went on and there's no reason to believe that trend won't continue.

                      • Being as these were exhibitions only I'll not get too worked up about the two leaders in the turnover category.

But, as stated before, turnovers will get anybody bench time regardless of the Coach (Cohen aside). They're (turnovers) just a ***** when it comes to momentum change in a game.

My understanding is that there are 2 types of surgery. Arthroscopic is minimally invasive, just involves a small incision and removing torn tissue with an opening maybe the size of a pencil. Recovery time is measured in weeks.

The other type of surgery involves opening up the knee and going after the torn tissue with a scalpel. That requires significant healing and recovery time is in months.

Any indication which type of surgery he's having?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I believe they said he'd be back in 4-6 weeks.

No indication. But sounds like 4-6 weeks was the time table offered previously.
