Maybe Shaq and Rashard ate some bad poutine and they were pooping their brains out.
Maybe Shaq and Rashard's shoulders hurt from carrying around adorning fans on their shoulders in an epic pool battle of chicken at the hotel.
Anyone else have any other realistic assumptions on this topic?

Good Spin. So what you are saying is that Shaq and Rashard were showing leadership and the remainder of the veterans were being selfish? :)

And especially since Shaq seems to run out of gas quicker than anyone, I can easily see him electing to sit out a last minute game. Plus as others have said, the new guys get some more experience."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."
